Infinity Redside = Deadside?
Waiit.... People on other servers actually play Villains?
This is very normal for villains as far as I've seen. Until recently, for 2 years I havent even bothered with villains, and I had to use AE to farm so I could get a character to 50 redside..
So if Its less dead on other servers i'll gladly play there as well.
Infinity red side is pretty lightly populated its sad to say. I would try using one of the global channels like Infinity TFs or Infinity Badges if you are trying to form up a run.

I don't usually have issues with teams when I pop on Red-Side. But I have the benefit of being in Inf Badges, dUmb global, and a few others. Also, I both toss up my LFT flag, and will often hunt for others to complement the toon I'm on, and I don't mind lackeying up people.
You do not NEED AE to get to 50, and I'd recommend against it, since the Villain Missions are generally better written than the Hero ones.
I'm on infrequently, but poke Inf Badge Seeker or Arena for Eran, and if Red-Side, I'll pro'ly be able to help.

I'm with Eran...if you're able to get into one of the really populated global channels you shouldn't have too much trouble finding people to team with you. That being said, Blokey and I run villains fairly often, and are more than willing to run with you if you give us a poke. My global is in the sig. =)

But you're right that broadcast and the team search feature won't get a lot of attention - I tend to ignore broadcast most of the time - especially if I'm on a team running missions since I won't be able to see it unless I'm travelling to or from a mission - and all of my characters are hiding from searches to limit the amount of spam emails I get.
But I also don't have a problem if I have to solo something, and frequently just log on with the intent to clear out an old arc, get a kill badge for an accolade, or something that I don't really intend on inflicting on other people ("hey, let's kill a bunch of greys so I can get merits!" doesn't seem like a good motivating strategy).
But with all of the complaints about people never finding teams, the best bet after following the busy global channels is going to be to watch broadcast and search yourself, send out a few tells and invites, and make your own team. If you read these threads, apparently half of the server's population is looking for a team and yet they can't link up to make one, so you shouldn't have any trouble at all finding people.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Yeah I know where you're comming from. My Villain Caleb Hart(As seen in my sig) is on the Liberty Server and I think I've teamed once with him. I haven't ever done a Strike Force, and PVP zones are Insane to try because no one is there except a bunch of heroes.

In addition to global channels and global friends, something I know we've probably all run into in game...sending tells to teams already formed. Yes, it's occasionally irksome to get random tells asking to join, but more than half the time, teams really don't mind another one tagging along.
Yes, it means you'd have to go through dreaded 'effort'. And? It takes a couple seconds, tops, to send a tell. And if teams won't have you, try to grab one or two people your level range and set a mission. Ding, you has a team!
Thanks for the list of Globals for me to join. I have been actively putting in effort to find a team and so do NOT assume I am not trying. Today I was able to do Virgil's Strike Force and even found a team to take on Caleb, which was great. I'm going to join those Global channels and keep an eye out for them. Glad to see that the Redside is a happenin' place
Everytime I hear about Caleb I always think someone's talking about me.

And to Spike--glad to hear you were trying. Redside tends to be a bit quieter unless you happen to know people who know people who want to do lunch.
And then they're as loud as very loud things, and you sometimes wish they would be quiet again. >.>
I recently made my first villain on Infinity and I have found the number of people playing to be extremely lacking compared to Blueside. At first it wasn't too bad. I got some decent sized teams in the lower levels. Once I hit Port Oakes though I pretty much soloed everything. I am starting Cap now and I still cannot form a good sized team together. Whenever I use the Find Team option I never get a list larger than 40 Villains, half of which are way too high a level and are only looking for AE teams. I have been trying to do the Virgil SF but broadcast doesn't seem to work and I don't know the Villain Global channels for Infinity. Is this normal for Infinity Redside? If so, which server has the most active Villain population?

Quick! Someone invoke Caleb's name in other threads and confuse him!

Yes, please sing out on Infinity, Inf TF, Inf Hami, Inf GMs when you are interested in strike forces or the red side trials. I have the same issues - usually having to solo on the red side. So I'm often on the blue, but I keep these channels open, and I'll certainly come running if something red side is starting up. And I'd be happy to help players fight their way through their patron arcs. Some of those missions are rough enough just on 'Villainous'. Even the PVP zones (but I'll skip the Arena thanks).
Just call me "The Pool Guy" - cause I believe that power pools are the ultimate in powerset proliferation. Fewer powers to develop and available to all.
"ADVERBS - we define action!"
"ADVERSE - we are action!"
So I just joined Inf badge seeker but I cant actually send any messages. Is there anyone on who can hook me up with some chat priveleges?

If you open the channel listing in your friends display, the silenced people are marked with a square and the operators are marked with a star. You can just send a tell to an operator (if any are on).

That was actually funny when I started forming that caleb team and the first 4 of us were all from the virgil SF. thx for helping me finally get hellbane out of the way.
As for telling you about chat channels, 'AE Anonymous' is a new one, but good for w/e. We try to all stay away from AE stuff just cuz so many of us are sick of it.
I have around a dozen people on in my SG alone whenever I log on, not to mention the people in my coalition. I find it hard to believe that there are only 40 players on redside at any given time. I have no idea why the general consenus is that it is easier to find a team on blueside. I never have trouble putting a full 8-man team together. The content redside is far superior to blueside aswell imo. If your having trouble finding a team maybe you should look me up. I could find you a spot in the SG, then you would never have to look for pugs again. My global is in my signature.
Go to Virtue and play red there. its alive and it thrives.
