Fire/Fire blaster

Playing only my 2nd blaster ever, being a vet since 2004 with periods of not playing, I recently rolled a fire/fire blaster. Before I get her to far, she is lvl 10 now, what powers can I skip? I have witnessed a lot of fire blasters w/ Rain of Fire, but the description says it has low damage. Is this something I can skip? I recntly done a respec for my toller and forgot how dreadfully long it was and I didnt want to go through it agian b/c I picked some ****** powers with my troller I didnt care for and I didnt want to exp. the same with the blaster that I am having so much fun with.

I do not solo, I am a team player if that makes a difference in what powers I can skip.

Teaming kinda does make a difference when dealing with a Fire/Fire. Because solo RoF is a horrible power for a Fire/Fire solo, the power does not slow foes so without immo each enemy it is kinda pointless since the run out of it real quick. RoF is a maybe power if you have the room, if you plan on teaming I would not take the snipe, if you solo I would not take the snipe. The Nuke is debatable, some do, some don't, on my Fire/Dev which solo's extremely well I am thinking about taking it off as I solo with him a lot and don't use it at all when I solo, however, on a team it is hard to resist jumping in the middle of a mob and blowing them all up.

As for the secondary, take build up and AoE powers, Auras are at your discretion, but I would recommend Hot Feet.

Rain of Fire actually does good damage, but you have to figure out how to keep the mobs in the area of effect for the majority of the duration, which is very difficult solo, unless you have Hot Feet. But it's very skippable anyway, because Hot Feet is very skippable.

With the dual build system, you don't have to skip anything, and you can take something on build two that you don't want on build one, and discover the difference it has on playstyle, and chose which one you like the best.

My own recommendations:
Fire/
Take flares and blast, but only slot one of them beyond a couple of slots.
Take and slot breath and ball.
2 slot aim for recharge.
skip rain.
take and fully slot blaze.
skip blazing bolt
Take and fully slot Inferno for damage and recharge.

/Fire
Don't slot ring.
Take combustion late, don't slot it much.
Take and slot heavily Fire Sword Circle
Fire Sword is good with 4 slots.
Slot build up for recharge.
Skip blazing aura
Take consume at 30. Slot for 2 acc 3 recharge.
Skip Burn, Skip Hot Feet.

Speed, Fitness, Medicine, Jumping or Stealth.

Your mainstay will be aim/build up, breath, ball, FSC, blaze on the remainder, Ring if you need to make space, flares and blast when needed.

An alternate build would include Rain, slotted ring to use with Burn (slotted), Hot Feet. This is very endurance heavy, and doesn't wipe the spawn nearly as fast, but it does provide a bit of mitigation with the scatter. Unfortunatley, the scatter will put a hurting on the efficiency of breath's cone. The ring burn combo is a very nice damage dealer, and burn can be dropped as a pursuit blocker.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

you should get consume

nuke, pop a blue consume on the next pack of mob and you're good to go

I took hasten and tried to get it perma. Now i can almost spam fireball and firebreath all the time with a blaze on bosses sometimes.

my first char
my first 50
fun fun fun all the time, don't spend too much time trying to make the best build

fire/fire/fire is the best aoe damage dealer of the game (and if it's not, i'll still believe it is ^^)

Rain of Fire does slow enemies. However the power doesn't accept slow enhancements or slow inventions sets. I don't know if the slow is literally unbuffable, though.

Its slow works in conjunction with other slows. Like Hot Feet or Snow Storm from Cold Mastery.

Yes, it does stack, which makes it quite fun for Blasters and Corrupters with other powers that cause slows.

What I didn't know though is if the slow effect of Rain of Fire is buffable by powers like Power Boost. Checking out Red Tomax's Power Quantification project, I see the following under the Rain of Fire minion:

* RunSpeed -0.4 for 0.5s [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]
Effect does not stack from same caster

* JumpHeight -40% for 0.5s [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]
Effect does not stack from same caster

* SpeedJumping -0.4 for 0.5s
Effect does not stack from same caster

* Max RunSpeed -3.5 for 0.5s PvE only [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]
Effect does not stack from same caster

So apparently the slow effect really is unbuffable.
