APP's Force vs Electrical
pretty much
Its PFF vs whatever you like from electrical. PFF has one great advantage to it, it is a defense based power that takes defense sets and needs very little slotting so it holds a lotg nicely. Its also considerably more available than Surge.
The bad part about it is that you can't attack while using it.

Yea, PFF is a completely different gameplay power. It provides tactical advantages in different situations than anything available with the Electric APP. With PFF, you can ghost just about any mission without any harm. You can use it as a very good emergency power that doesn't have a crash when health is low. It really depends on your playstyle.
Also, a crucial part looking at the both sets' godmodes:
Surge of Power:

Force of Nature:Recovery -100 for 15s (after 120 second delay) [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs] |

This is a very noticeable difference if you have a recharge intensive build. If you plan on maximizing recharge to a ~2.5 minute down time, you'll want to go with the force APP. Quite often, my toggles don't even drop when FoN crashes.
Also, a crucial part looking at the both sets' godmodes:
Surge of Power: Force of Nature: So if you have any recovery buffs (like Stamina) after you crash with FoN, you'll still gain endurance, while with Surge of Power, you'd need an army of Empaths to have you at the positive endurance gain side. |
You can pretty much assure that your toggles won't drop if you pop Geas of the Kind ones right before the crash.

Adrenalin Boost has "just" +800% recovery increase base.
Actually, one Empath with ONE EndMod SO in Adrenaline Boost will completely counter the endurance crash on any nuke/t9...

Surge of Power has a -10000% (TEN THOUSAND PERCENT) recovery debuff.
Do the math. Even with 3 Endmod SOs in AB you won't be able to overcome Surge of Power's endurance recovery debuff. Not even if you stack Recovery Aura on top of it. Not even if the recipient has Geas on.
To overcome the -10000% recovery debuff you will need multiple sources of +recovery. This is why you'll still need blues.
Ok looking at my Energy/Energy/Force Blaster, and I was looking at Electrical Mastery and the resistance values are much better on it as a whole, because you get high S/L/E resistance and you cap them with surge of power, along with getting a hold and another AoE attack and a PBAoE stun. What makes Force stand out now that Elec has SoP? I am guessing PFF? is that enough to stay with Force even though I don't have it and the original reason for Force was FoN and SoP seems to be better?
