Hrmmm. I don't know if anyone knows the Disgaea game as well but I had a chance to notice something which I am sure is completely harmless but still....
Anyways, the game assigns random names to its monsters and on one level, two zombies were on screen. The first one attacked and I noticed it's name was Barack which I thought was amusing. Until....
The second zombie attacking me was named Mao!
So Barack and Mao were attacking me in the game! Coincidence or has my Nintendo DS actually stumbled upon a massive conspiracy and is trying to warn me of it?

Hi all..Promised my folks id mow thier lawn today but it looks like its going to pour any minute out there..Im hoping they'll tke a 'rain check' (no pun intended, or was it?) for tomorrow morning.
I find it sad and a sign of the changing times when people get pissed about rp threads on the Virtue boards..I dunno, maybe we COULD cut down on the amount of new threads?...Maybe..?...

It's not like the board is super busy and this is pushing other threads down out of view. Also one thread or a new thread no difference, the complainers just want some point to complain about Pogo. It's a thread that stays near the top for a day while we use it. Then it goes away.

Yup. Looking forward to i16. Ironically, I'm kinda starting to not look forward to September because tons of new games and stuff will be made available in that month... So much to do and buy, so little time and money...
Happy to have Windows 7 too. Just wish I could get COX to work with it. Everything else I've tried does, and COX did too, before the i15 patch. But now even using all the fixes they've posted in the tech forums it just refuses to run. Starts up and hangs up at a black screen with the music playing. Has to be something with my video card, windows 7 and COX, but rolling back to old drivers like they suggest doesn't help.

Maybe if they had asked nicely in the first place. But they didn't. They bullied and demanded and acted like jerks. But that being said, one could always be the bigger person and just use the social group for the rookery. Then we could all move on. Don't get me wrong I love these treads and hate the fact that a handful of people feel that they can rule the entire forums is sad. Some people really have nothing better to do then make everyone else feel as miserable as they do. So it’s just a matter choice. Do you stay were you have every right to be and take the hated. Or do you move to a different arena, where you can be you and not have to deal with the jerks. It’s not like they will go away. They will just find new things to hate on. Personally I say move, because in the end it will be more enjoyable for everyone.

Important detail about the social group: It's not public. I know, that may seem obvious, but it flies in the Rookery. tradition of being open to anyone. A number of good friends have been made because they show up one day, like the wackiness and keep coming back. If we were shoved into the back corner where we could be ignored, most of those people wouldn't show up, and it would become the cliquish group we've occasionally been accused of being. And as you said, it wouldn't stop the haters from hating, so go slinking off like we're doing something wrong when we aren't just to satisfy a loudly complaining minority?

I have to disagree. We stay here for two reasons. One, we have done nothing wrong so there is no reason to give them what they want. And two, new people have joined in over time, they wander in have fun and sometimes come back to stay. If we hide in the social groups that won't happen. It's not like some folks being jerks towards this is new, it happened all the time in the old boards. So we do the same thing, report them to the mods and move on past it.

But do you? I’m not sure some of the things posted in the social group recently are very nice. It saddens me a little to see such nice people say mean things. Anyhow, moving on I hope you all have a great day.

Hiya Just,
There's one big reason to not move the silliness to the Rookery Social group....no new friends. Part of the fun here is that anyone who is new to the game or new to the forum can come by, and if they had a crappy day or just feel like being silly or looking at kittens or making terrible puns...they have a new home. If we were tucked back behind the scenes we'd never meet them, then they'd never join the global channel, never join the static teams, never join the in game SGs/VGs/TFs and SFs we set up, and all the actual in game and game related stuff that the social networking of all this silliness allows.
