New patch? doesnt let me connect....

This "rollback" isnt letting me connect now. Normally, after every patch, I'll try to log in, my McAffee will pop up asking if I want to let COX connect to the internet, and I'll say yes, and no problem. But now, even after manually double-checking that the COX programs are allowed to connect to internet, no popup, and I cannot connect to the game. Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, same thing with me. The game just patched, and now it says it can't connect to the login server. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

It's the usual crock of ... name your choice.

Someone is getting paid to put the "server status" page together, and, to be honest, they are not earning the money.

A complete scam, waste of time, and pointless.

Two basic options exist:

Fix a system that doesn't work, and angers customers.

Remove a broken tool.

That or continue to pretend all is well in La La Land.

One of those 'two' - since Devs never make errors or lose count. Dey are Gods!

That MIGHT be because the servers are scheduled to be down for another 40'...

No. This patch has nothing to do with the character database. Should be fine.

There is still a problem. The error message at the login screeen tells me to check server status. Server status says that everything is up already. So either the server status should be ignored (which contradicts the message). Or the status is correct and there is a login problem.

Customer Support 101,folks. Clear communications.

The server status page has been bugged for a while. It's showing the status of June 24th. So yes, ignore it for now.

Thanks for the tip. Too bad I have to get this from a user forum and they can't get their message straight. The point is, if NC knows that the server status is bugged, they shouldn't direct users to it.

If they don't I hope someone tells them. Another thought might be to add the login server to the list.

so yea it is clear communications when they say 2 hours. It has not even been 2 hours since they took the servers down. Just because they rolled the pack back on the update server does not mean the work is done.

they asked for 2 hours at least give it to them before you start the witchhunt.

As for being directed to the status page, that is embeded into the code .. Not something the CS department is poping up on your screen

They absolutely need to fix the server status page, agreed. It is VERY annoying not to be able to see what's up (or what isn't, hehe) I'm sure they are aware of it but a little message from them would be much appreciated.
