I'm starting a pet project IG and was curious about it's viability

I want to get all contacts possible all the way to confidant. Mostly by turning xp earning off.

is it worth my time to try and do this, or is it just not really viable.

this is mostly out of curiosity as to if ya'll think it's worth doing

It depends. Are you talking hero-side, or villain-side?

Hero-side...well, it's perfectly doable, but there are a number of contacts that just aren't really worth getting, mostly due to several duplicate story arcs. There's also all the Hazard zone contacts, as well as the Single Zone contacts...

In short, it'd be a collosal undertaking. Not an impossible one...but it'd take a lot more dedication and perseverence blue-side.

I tried to be a completist with 2 Defenders when Croatoa came out. I totally burnt out on them by the mid-30s. I was ready to give up by then and the introduction of the new Faultline just sealed the deal. One is still stuck in the low-40s because just looking at it brings an overwhelming feeling of tiredness. It was with strength of will and a lot of TF teaming that I was able to get the second one to 50. I believe part of my problem was using a low damage archetype. The missions gets really tedious after a while and then having a slow slugfest everytime sapped my enthusiasm.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

That will be the tricky part. There are a few contacts who don't give enough missions to bump the bar all the way up. The City Representative comes to mind, but there might be a few others, such as the Architect Studio Manager, maybe Admissions Officer Lenk. I don't think that it's possible to get literally every single contact all the way up.

Also, be aware that you'll miss eleven contacts right off the bat when you pick your origin and/or archetype. (There are twelve starting contacts, one each in Galaxy City and Atlas Park per origin, plus two for Kheldians, of which you can only pick one.) Some are possible to get only during events, such as DJ Zero and Father Time. Task Force contacts are gettable at any given time, but will disappear after you've completed their tasks.

Anyway, if you want to know if I think it's worthwhile, sure, whatever floats your boat. I'm actually working on something like that for a pet project dealing with the Paragon Wiki. If you do decide to go through with it, good luck!

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

welll I'm not worried about them if I CAN'T get it because of game mechanics, just the ones I can get. same thing with like detectives, not worried about them. and I'm not overly concerned with ones that will disapear. I'm mostly just talking about normal contacts who I can get the full way up.

Actually, in my experience, the only contact that doesn't give enough missions to fill up the bar is Tom Bowden or his mirror Hugo Redding. As for the Architect Guide, City Representative, Tutorial Zone contacts etc, they are a part of the group of transitory contacts which only appear in your contact list, active or otherwise, until you complete the tasks they offer - thus, it's up to you whether or not to count them. Also, most contacts have a "mirror" - someone with a different name and location, but who offers identical missions and only one of which you'll ever be introduced to, so it's quite impossible to acquire literally every contact in the game.

And finally, as for whether it's worth it... that's entirely up to you.
