By the way, it's a good thing we already know that the devs are all lazy, directionless, incompetent halfwits, otherwise, it might almost look like the were working to a strategy to release a massive game update around the time CO launches - but luckily we know that it's just pure chance, and there's no way that they'd use their greatly expanded team to take the game into new and exciting territory, or offer any major game changes that newer MMOs don't have.

Well, at least I was half right. Personally, I'm excited but if I consult my tarot deck, I forsee that there'll be a vocal number of players upset about this along with the usual shouts of 'DOOM'(tm) and arguments about NCWest's marketing strategy.
Actually, scratch that, I don't need a tarot deck to forsee that.
Still, this has already got a good few ideas flowing in my head and I'll be curious to see how the 'switch' is handled in terms of story. Woo hoo!

Now that looks interesting.
My only (relatively small) reservation is teaming with MMs in CoH. I've never been a huge fan as they tend to be a bit overwhelming in teams, and its one of the reasons I play red side much less than blue. Still, it looks like a good development and should really help to shake the game up.
