The Architect Cossie Unlockables are for your created Custom Critters only, not for your actual characters.
Trenchcoats are a Vetern Reward you get for 6 months of subscribing (I think it's 6 anyway). That's the only way to get them for your characters afaik.
If you buy any unlockable costume pieces via the MA ticket scheme then it only becomes unlocked when you create custom enemies in the mission creator screen 
To get unlockable clothes you must either have the correct amount of veteran reward time or do certain missions to get them for your character
In your case its 3 months veteran time for a trenchcoat.

You unlock trenchcoats for your characters after 3 months of subscription (IIRC trial time counts, as does free month which you receive when you buy a box/activation code.) You need to wait those 3 months, though, even if your subscription is for longer than 3 months subscription time awards are not given until after the time actually passes. MA allows to buy veteran content for tickets, but only for NPCs you create, not for your own characters.

Just 3.
6 is Greek letters for chest symbols+free tailor token(s) to all _existing_ characters. (9 and 12 are much more interesting)
oh psssft, it all seems so clear now. Oh well. She'll just have to look sexy without her coat for a spell. 
By the by, I think I'll be getting this game. Do you think Trial Time counts towards Trench Coat Vet rewards time?

Aren't trial restrictions lifted for anniv month? (MA is normally restricted to subscribed players, isn't it?)

At least it seems to work that way for me, I get my awards a the day I started the trial, not the day I subscribed. YMMV. Plus, as I said anniv trial is special anyway.

Yeah, just what I needed; an addicting and imaginitive game that sucks me in like a Tijuana Super wh.. Seemstress. I haven't played an MMO since Anarchy Online, mostly because these games can be so darn addictive!

Pardon me if I didn't see a post containing my answer. I googled and everything before this.
I made a character based on one of my one comic characters (Oh yeah, I'm a novice comic artist, but nothing published yet). To complete her costume, I need a Trench Coat.
I'm playing the Trial Version of CoV right now, and I gotta say, I'm enjoying myself.
I noticed that in AE, there was something in the Unlockable Content. There were unlockable content, and they cost tickets from AE missions. Well, I had just participated in a mission, and bought them up. But I can't seem to access the costume bonuses. I have suspisions, but I'd like to hear the straight dirt on what's going on.
Is there something I have to do before accessing my AE purcheses? Am I SOL because I'm playing a Trial? Is my level to low? (14, and 9 for each character.) These are what I suspect, but again, I'd rather someone tell me straight up.
