Announcing: CityScoop EU!

I would have thought so, and I was looking forward to seeing if there was a possibility of exactly that. *

We are currently trying to figure out how to get the Scoop working with the new forums though.

Hmm. I'm wondering who you were talking to, because while I've heard that someone was going to form a scoop for the EU, I've not heard a peep about keeping both teams separate. It is your prerogative though.

Well, it's hard for me to say much of anything, since I can't actually seem to find a back issue of the EU City Scoop to even look at from the last two months. My understanding was that the EU version was going to be a monthly publication, with the first issue coming out sometime in late April or early May (ETA: My search-fu is terrible).

I not going to say it's a bad idea to keep the EU version separate, if only because that'd seem awfully self-serving. From prior discussions with him, however, I don't believe either Snow_Globe or I (the editors-in-chief of the US CS) quite understand why the EU CS leader is desirous of keeping it separate.

I think both Snow_Globe and I would welcome any EU contributors who wanted to talk with us - we're already international, since we've got members from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and (of course) the US.

Either way, the new boards are... voracious... when it comes to eating the layout for the US Scoop (as the back issues can attest; they didn't look that bad when they were published!) and we're trying to figure out a solution before we publish the issue we presently have proofed and pending layout. If the EU Scoop chooses to stay separate, we're more than happy to talk things over with their folks and see if together we can come up with a solution.

Anyone interested in the US Scoop is welcome to PM me (Cende) with comments and questions. You may also mail Snow_Globe, but he's a little swamped with school right now, so I try not to volunteer him much.

As you can tell if you look at the post dates, this thread is pretty old. The concept of an EU Scoop was initiated back before the forum merger. Folks are still working hard on a new way to bring back the Scoop though.
