Custom missions and the market

What impact do you think custom missions will have on the market?

I ran a custom mission last night that appeared to have been written to help players get the new MA badges. It was an outdoor map, with weak custom mobs and a lot of hostages/glowies. Plenty to click on and rescue.

3/4 of the way through I was bored, but carried on. Checking my tickets at the end, I had recieved 240 of them from one 'easy' mission. Now this wasn't a walk in the park either at level 11, at a couple of points it did get a bit tricky. But it wasn't a challenge either.

I thought I'd see what I could buy with the tickets. For 540 tickets I can get Enchanted Impervium / Deific Weapon. So roughly speaking, if every 2 1/2 missions I can choose a rare magical salvage, why would I need to buy one again?

At low levels when the drops/inf give poor returns, I can run custom missions to build up a stock of tickets. Then at higher levels run regular missions to get the better drops/inf.

Or maybe I was just lucky, and the ticket drops aren't normally that high?
Mike.

Im predicting a crash on them expensive rare salvage as now so easy to get them with tickets.

The majority of prices will fall down greatly (good thing).

Rare salvage/bronze roll recipes will eventually go back to "normal cheapish levels"

Taskforce/gold roll recipes SHOULD stay the same.

Mission complete/silver rolls in theory should rise by quite a bit within a week or so since in MA you dont get those rewards unless via tickets (which imo people would rather bronze/rare salvage rolls).

Purples? Will rise due to less people farming and thus less purples on the market.

Edit: Also if youv been smart you'ld be getting as much cheap rare rolls as quickly as possible to sell before the crash in price

The merit changes should bring them down. With the chance of getting a worthless recipe greatly reduced, taking a random roll is a far far more attractive choice.

I really should do something about this signature.

well it's already been good for me infwise.

2 random rolls, the Blessing of Zephyr Travel power speed increase and endurance reduction (1mil inf) and a Imperium Armor Res/Rech IO for a massive 35mil inf...now that I swear must have been a typo but it's too late for them to get their inf back (face it, we've all done something stupid on the market, ended up bidding 200,000 on five pieces of 20,000 worth salvage several times myself...)

Now thats exactly what i originally thought, however after asking around and looking at the forums, im suprised by the number of people that dont do random rolls. I cant see many people doing 4000 tickets for a roll in the MA, but i do agree that once the buzz of MA dies down and people start farming merits again that prices COULD lower but not for a while yet.

The taskforce pool will be the last to drop in prices i believe, already the rare salvage has started to decline and certain level 50 recipes (if only people knew that level 50 recipes ARENT the best way to make inf! )

I hate "random" rolls. I think it's rubbish to get something you don't want, and we all know that the chances are that you will get something you don't want. What's specifically rubbish is that if you get something one of your other characters CAN use - there's no way to transfer the recipe to them.

Regarding general prices, I think it depends how much flippers can keep up with the cheap stuff. Flippers may be able to keep the prices up using base storage and multiple characters.

No, but you can create the enhancement and leave it in base storage. Or find someone you trust to pass the recipe to and then get it from them?

...and what if you don't trust anybody?
