Exchanging Merits for Influence

I have just got my MM to level 50 and started a Widow. I have over 200 merits on my MM and he has pretty much all the enhancements he wants, bought with the inf he gained as he levelled. I had been planning to buy an expensive recipe for 240 merits and then use the inf to buy some nice sets for him, but I think I will be spending it on the Widow instead.

My question is, would I be better buying one recipe (for example the most expensive Numina's I can spot) or doing multiple random rolls for 20 or 30 a pop? I realise there is an element of luck involved, but which is more likely to net more inf, or is there a better thing to do with 200+ merits?

Any advice would be welcome, I just don't want to waste the whole lot doing something stupid.

You mean random rolls? Or just don't bother with the merits I have?

Random rolls I think CB means. You've enough for plenty of rolls, it's a good chance you can have something really nice land, but there's always a risk of having guff-all. If it were me, I'd do the random rolls. I don't bother saving the things anway.

He means (I hope) do random reward rolls.

On average the trial roll will give you a better turnout imo (fewer recipes, most of them are very salable.) Strike force random rolls has a lot more recipes, so there's more [censored] in it, but also a few REALLY big earners.
But it's all down to luck really.

Do random rolls I'd suggest 40-45 that seems to give decent rewards.

Though that might be down to personal luck.

200 merits gets you an any lvl luck of the gambler +rch, find what lvl will earn you the most cash, and sell that. Pretty much guaranteed about 90 mil from that. It's not as exciting as doin lots of random rolls, and who knows you might drop a lotg from the randoms. But as has been said, there is also every chance that you get absolutely nothing.

So really the question is, do you feel lucky, huh do yah punk?

I would go for random roles in the 26-30 bracket as it covers the most recipes so you have good chance of getting something good and i have to say so far personally I've been pretty luck with them and had a couple of +stealth's (which I'm keeping) and a few other recipes which have netted me the best part of 23 mil on one character and i still have a couple more to sell.
