Simple suggestion:

After using the portal to get to Ouroboro...oh you know where. You have 10 seconds to get off the arrival portal pad. If you're still on it after 10s the next person that tp's in makes you explode.

Anyone who's had to fight their way through dozens of toons to find the platform to get out will know why I'm suggesting this.

You want a telefrag effect?

Lol, I remember using that tactic to kill loads of people in Unreal Tournament.

I can't see it being implimented so it kills players, however, developers might try and impliment something simple that pushes players away from the portal.
Or even a random teleport effect,

if the portal has too many people near it, teleport the next arrival a bit away from the portal, so they are not swamped.

While not a major problem, I do agree that it does become visually nasty seeing everyone huddled around a portal.

I don't think telefragging would be the answer, but perhaps something could be done to resolve the issue.

Is there any reason why we need to enter Ouroboros at the exit portal?

Would the game support several arrival points around the pool, similar to how hospitals have several resurrection bays? Could keep the exit portal pretty free then...

Yeah it can be kind of annoying sometimes to try to exit Oroborous when the exit portal is surrounded
