iv had 1 attempt to get as close to perma unstoppable as i can invun/ss tanker that is.Duration lasts 180 secs and i can only get it down to 264.6? can any1 do any better?

On my emp I have managed to get Recovery and Regeneration Auras down from 500 recharge to 141, as they last for 90 seconds this is as close as is possible i think....

Would happily take on the challenge to get Unstoppable to be perma.

An average of 217.1s, at best..but only on the build planner and without gimping the build which should mean with AB 200secs roughly Anywhere around to often getting 180s + 120s is often good enough.

I've had a go Massive.

While DS is right about the 400% recharge - 200 sec cap that's not including Unstoppable's recharge IO's so less than 200 is possible.

I'm not sure perma-unstoppable is the way to go TBH. I can count on one hand the number of occasions I've actually needed to use unstoppable since getting my INV tanker to level 50 (almost 3 years ago now) and only one of those was since IOs were introduced (versus Ghost Widow, followed by Recluse, on a bad STF team).

Perma Dull Pain, combined with Invincibility and capped S/L resists, lets you tank virtually anything. Some AVs and High-level Psychic foes are the only exception to this. And Unstoppable won't help out versus the Psychic damage (for that you want oranges, or the Vanguard Shield and the Striga Wedding Band)

My tanker has been refitted slightly in Issue 13, but that was only to rejig the set bonuses very slightly (to decrease the number of enemies invincibility needs to cap his S/L/E/N defense from 8 to 4). Resists, Capped HP, 40HP-per-second regeneration and Dull Pain's occasional heal takes care of the rest.

He can currently stand in the middle of Lusca or tank the likes of Infernal toe-to-toe unsupported without bothering to use anything other than toggles and taunt. [u]Here[u] is his current build. Whilst Unstoppable might still be useful in PvP (allowing for the lack of mez protection in current PvP - and the toggle suppression that goes with it) It's very doubtful you'll use it these days in PvE on a decent build.

It's a good attempt Donna, I would cheat by swapping Boxing for kick and sticking a Force Feedback:+Recharge in it.

Get the accolades and look to get bonuses other than +HP where possible. So no more Titanium Coatings in RPD for a start.

That and Accuracy not really being an issue for Inv/SS you can trim slots elsewhere and use them to add to or be for other sets.

Unstoppable is ideally just a panic button but you can find yourself tricks where, out of every single tanker type only an Invuln might actually last. People say Granite and Willpower are better but Invuln has its moments.

I think anyone learning or anyone playing with people who are learning it can help, it may not always help but it can help. Mistakes get made.

Invuln being what it is will be at a disadvantage in a team where the dynamics are being messed up and losing concentration as a result of typing to tell someone not to do something, or to do something or to stand, or not stand somewhere don't help.

Regarding Unstoppable in PvP, my experiences are that:

- You will not cap resistances, due to Diminishing Returns. Even with 90% S/L resistances before using Unstoppable, I could only reach 70%. F/C/T/E/N resistances were lower. It should be noted I used only one Aegis: Res/Rech in it though. It might be possible to get higher with Unstoppable fully slotted for resistance.
- Unstoppable makes knockback less of a problem. Someone with KO blow will not be able to launch you skyward anymore, which they'll manage through Unyielding unless you've slotted KB protection IOs.
- Due to very high mez resistances, Unstoppable makes Hold/Stun/Sleep type mezzes last very short time periods.
- The recovery bonus works well, as always.


On an ending note, I got rid of Unstoppable in favour of Hurl and IO-boosted defense. Even when in Unstoppable, I was getting worn down and killed in 1 vs 1 fights with some brutes. The defense route, especially considering the lack of a crash, has so far worked rather well in PvP.
