Oh so it wasn't the villian group known as the Golden Girls?

They may look like your stereo typical granny types but I heard they held Miami in a strangle hold of suspense and fear.

Usually on a Friday night...at around 10pm

that was the other Golden Girl

Does that mean we should petition GG to prevent Marvel from suing NC? I am not sure I am evil enough to do so.

As if me, let alone anyone else wasn't way ahead of you on that. Not only is the old Marvel Golden Girl never coming back so Marvel doesn't give a damn, the lunatic woman actually asked Marvel to use it.

Well, half of GG spends at least some time on the Rogue Isles

I'm pretty sure I don't, actually

Having never seen you at GG, and you having exactly one character, I do not think your comment negates my argument.

Which is quite close to 'That word, I do not think it means what you think it means,' and so should be read in a slightly fake Spanish accent.

Hmmm...Civil War with Longbow vs Heroes, when it turns out how, actually, Longbow are nothing but a group of vigilantes and headcases wrapped up in their own egos...

To be like Civil War we'd have to have Ms. Liberty drafting supervillains into the Freedom Corps to help against the heroes, and establishing effective Longbow martial law over Paragon City. Meanwhile Positron and Manticore build a robot Hero 1 in an attempt to convince the world they're right by abusing an iconic missing hero. This fails miserably, because the robot murders Apex.

Eventually Statesman will be captured because he won't kill Ms. Liberty by tearing her arms off, and instead of backhanding the moronic reporter and telling her that knowledge of NASCAR and MySpace has absolutely no bearing on knowing the difference between right, wrong and freedom, he'll wearily accept it and be killed on the steps of the City Hall by an Arachnos sniper with a special rifle or something.

Statesman is replaced by someone nowhere near as good...Foreshadow or something. Ms. Liberty is effectively given control of the city, and replaces the PPD with Longbow. Everyone completely forgets Positrons utter moral collapse during the whole thing and treats him exactly the same.

I believe that most words are in books already and thus are copyrighted by their authors. I suggest a new freeware language which doesn't concern any of this "copyrighting" hokum.

No. They took advantage of the situation though, the Skrull Invasion went a lot better for them thanks to Starks various initiatives and policies with registered heroes and SHIELD after the Civil War.

You get to see some of their mass meetings in flashbacks during the invasion, and in one of them they're commenting that the heroes are doing their work for them. The entire Civil War was constructed on the back of Tony Stark and Reed Richards, who instead of pointing out to the authorially retarded denizens of the Marvel world that Stamford was THEIR fault for actually watching and placing a demand for a reality show of a bunch of unsupervised wannabes fighting supervillains, decided to essentially enslave the heroic world.

Oh and another thing, Wolverine discovered Nitro only managed to blow up Stamford because a company called Damage Control (or something) which rebuilds after super conflicts, had been producing and distributing a drug that makes superpowers go unstable and massively more potent so there'd be more damage for them to get contracts for. This little detail appears to have been entirely forgotten, because it makes the registration side and the Marvel general public even more stupid, and as is obvious from reading the whole thing, the authors are really, really, really struggling to make the conflict a whole 'whose side are you on' moral grey area, when in actual fact it turned out to be 'Captain America couldn't get more right, you'll wish he'd cut Iron Mans unworthy head off when we're done'.

I'm with you on that; all these giant arcs and cheap deaths seem contrived solely to force you to buy dull titles or patronise characters you wouldn't otherwise blow your nose with.....not that I'd recommend a comic book as a hanky of course.....
