Blaster Primary - Wind Blast
Energy Blast: Damage, knockback
Fire Blast: Pure damage and DOT
Ice Blast: Damage, slows, holds, -recharge, -to hit
Archery: Damage, DOT, stun, knockback
Assault Rifle: Damage, DoT, Knockback, -Def
Electric Blast: Damage, DoT, -End, -Recovery, Hold
Psychic Blast: Damage, -Recharge, knockback, Sleep, DoT, Disorient
Sonic Blast: Damage, -Res, Knockback, Sleep, Disorient
Dark Blast: Damage, -To Hit, Disorient, Immobilize, Knockback, Drain Life
Radiation Blast: Damage, -Def, Knockback, Disorient, Hold.
Your set? Damage. Oh, and don't forget that chance to knockback and a little -Acc.
There's no powers in there that grab at me, that make me go "Hey, look, play me over another set!"
Figured id chuck together a wind set and see if i can come up with something more interesting than the OP without resorting to "silent but deadly attacks"
1. Gale. pretty much the same as storm but with damage etc changed to match the rest of the blaster tier 1 attacks
2. Air Blast. you send forth a concentrated blast of air causing your target to take some moderate smashing damage and loose there footing (Knock Down)
3. Grit storm. using your control over the air you gather up grit and sand and blast it towards your opponent this attack causes only minor damage but leaves your target held as they attempt to clear there eyes and throat
4.Icy Blast. You summon a blast of Icy wind which chills your those in front of you to the bone. DOT cold damage and slow
5. Aim.
6. Hurricane. same as defender version
7. Grit storm. using your control over the air you gather up grit and sand and blast it towards your opponent this attack causes only minor damage but leaves your target held as they attempt to clear there eyes and throat
8. Tornado. Again same as storm summoning
9. Lightning Storm. Again same as storm summoning
Sill not particularly brilliant and it reuses far to many attacks from storm summoning but ah well.

Actualy, Tier 5 has knockback, if you actually read it. There's also some DoTs and a Build Up-style power, and the -ACC debuff isn't the only ones, there is some buffs too, if you read.

This I like. Dont like the original suggested ones. Variety in powersets is always good, IMO, so for concept /signed.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Grit Storm twice?

Heh, well spotted...
Myeah, trade in another higher tier power. The overall is quite a good one IMO

Woops thats because i originaly had it as a teir 3 but after looking at the other blaster sets i moved it to 7 to keep in line with elec blast.
so replace teir 3 with:-
Tornadic Blast: using your control of air you focus all the force of a tornado into a single blast of super accelerated Air. High (or extreme) damage with a high mag KB (should be able to knock over a freak tank)
The trouble is it remains too close to the Storm set.
I can kind of see the basic concept but it doesn't really add much to the game.
Thelonious Monk
Exactly gale, hurricane, Tornado, and lightning storm all have to come out before its any where near workable.
Something is not right here.
Storm summoning is a primary buff/defuff set. Air blast should be primary damage. So although its concept can originate from the storm set, no power should be the same except maybe freezing rain renamed to something different. So no hurricane and lighting storm i would say.
Sonic attack and sonic resonance has only -res in common.
Some random ideas for replacement powers (please keep in mind I'm half asleep)
tier 9. Eye of the Storm: You become the cam eye of a raging storm any for foolish anuff to get to close will be hurl aside should they survive they will be left the worse for ware.
PBAoE extreme damage (smashing), -Def, KB, chance of Fear and Special*
*This power is extremely draining and uses a lot of end per sec further it takes all your concentration to maintain it so you can use any other ability.

That is my point its and that's why i said those powers would have to go before the set was workable what i put up was just a quick off the cuff idea on the of chance it got any one else thinking and to demonstrate to the OP that not every power need be so linear.

This is a little Blaster powerset similar to Storm Summoning, here it is:
Wind Blast
Tier 1: Calm Wind
You summon a calm wind which causes Moderate DMG to an enemy.
Tier 2: Small Gale
You summon a small gale which in turn causes Moderate DoT to an enemy.
Tier 3: Heavy Gale
You summon a heavy gale which in turn causes Moderate DMG and a -ACC debuff to an enemy.
Tier 4: Wind Warning
You inform you allies that you will summon very heavy wind, and it gives them increased Perception and a small increase in ATK and DEF. You also cause High DMG to an enemy.
Tier 5: Blow Away
The wind you summon is strong that it blows away your enemy with Knockback and does High DoT to them!
Tier 6: Power of Wind
You summon a cloak of wind around yourself, giving you increased ToHit and DMG.
Tier 7: Incredible Wind
You summon an incredible wind and it does High DMG to your enemy and knockdown.
Tier 8: Wind Storm
You summon a wind storm, a PBAoE which which causes Moderate DoT to all enemies around you and also slightly debuffs their ACC.
Tier 9: Powerful Wind Storm
You create a powerful wind storm so strong that no veteran weathermen or woman know how dangerous it is. It causes a PBAoE with Extreme DMG and a Chance for Knockback!

OK that's it, comment, criticise, praise, do whatever!

Any chance the devs could code up IMs set exactly as he suggests just so that he has a chance to get one of his guides 50% correct?
If not no point doing it as suggested - it really feels to be lacking anything that grabs my imagination and would make me want to play it... Which isn't bad going since I intend to play every powerset - none yet exist that I wouldn't want to try - but this suggestion makes it!
Maybe it's a lack of imagination/variation compared to other existing sets. It's almost as if the OP has just gone through the Beaufort wind scale...
BTW - a serious suggestion for a a powerset could do with a little more suggested detail. E.g. The OPs Tier 6: Power of Wind is a self buff but doesn't state whether it's clicky or toggle... Presume it's a clicky, inline with other blaster primaries, but it is only a presumption if not explicitly stated.

But it seems difficult to sustain any ideas beyond that and so with what you have at the moment, which appears to be a long stream of the same attack only ever so slightly different, it is in high danger of becoming boring.
[/ QUOTE ]
...a Blaster's primary is mainly damage. An attack in the set will be slightly different from the last one, different damage, different effects.
That's how powersets go.
[/ QUOTE ]
No it isn't. Ice Blast has two holds. Electric Blast has a hold and PBAoE end drain. Sonic has a cone knockback and a hold. And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. Your powers are essentially exactly the same thing with just a different name and level of damage.

Actually, theres a Build Up-style power in there...
