I got FF/ and I got /Dark but not together. Is it possible that whatever inspired you to make one in the first place has been lost. It maybe temporarily. I find that sometimes its not even the character, its just a break from the game that is needed or the right people to team with to give it more purpose. I wouldn't of made one personally, putting fun first, FF/ would have to go with /Ice.

The main reason I see FF/ paired with /Dark is that -ToHit goes very nicely with the +Def from Force Fields. Certainly I've run a few TFs with one and found that I only got hit very rarely. /Dark is a nice Defender Secondary but it benefits more from sets that capitalise on its Immobilize and Stun so Storm/ and of course /Dark go very well with it as they have Stun powers and the immobilize keeps things in their debuff range.
I'd suggest teaming with Debuffers or AoE Damage dealers to see the maximum benefit from it. I've never had the patience to play FF/ myself but it could be worse, you could have picked /Elec as a secondary.

First i admit my only highest level FF defender was my first original hero in this game which i deleted around level 30. Tried many others (including FF/Elec, FF/Nrg, FF/Psi) but none even get his travel power.
I agree with Shannon in this matter, as FF mostly fire and forget set your secondary or other pool powers comes into play more often, your secondary at least have a decent damage. Ice is end heavy secondary but bubbles can handle it well most than other primaries (Storm/Ice i am looking at you 
). If i should start another FF it will be Ice, Sonic or Psi i guess.
IMO if it gives you such hassle don't try to stick with it just for the name.

FF/Dark's a bit of a lame horse, really. Low, low damage.
Probably great support though, and Dark Pit's pretty cool.

Yeah, i like to see that. Also we will see many Susan Storms running around for sure.
man i just realised how shocking that post is. So many typos and spelling mistakes! The general consensus is that it doesn't get much better but it's a good name. perhaps I can think of some other way to keep the name with something more useful. Mastermind with forcefields as a secondary? is that possible?

Hmm... yeah a Necro/FF with that name sounds nice, a little bit of Harley Quinn and a bit of White Rabbit. A girl who plays with dead, as they are only friends she knew. More playful than cruel...
But game-wise i don't have any idea if Necro and Bubbles have a snynergy.
PS: Also thanks to your post i re-started a FF/Nrg defender last night and he is going really good.
I played a Necro/FF MM up to 20 and then deleted him because it was so boring. Summon, Buff, Summon, Buff, Summon, Buff, whip out Aid Other occasionally... Arrrgghh!
In theory, they do have some synergy as some Necro attacks do -ToHit but if you'll need more patience than I had to enjoy it.
Perhaps a Controller with Bubbles as secondary would work instead?

I have a lvl 30 FF/Dark defender that I used to have a lot of fun playing. On the dark side I focussed on well slotted tentacles and dark pit to take the minions out of the fight. I also used force bolt a lot to keep the heavy hitters out of my face and I took the medicine pool to help heal any damage that did land. I found it quite an active build. I haven't played him in ages because my old computer made teaming become unenjoyable - really must drag him out again now that I've replaced the puter.

I have a 50 FF/Dark, but only for team PVP (Durin Bubble MCU) Main useage for this toon is the following for me and works sooooo well:
Uncovering Stalkers away from team mates(Stalkers Hate me the amount of abuse I get is just mint!!!) No AS for you little stalkers
Uber defence with Power Build up
Buffing fellow team mates with amazing defence
PFF for protection.
I'm an ultimate buffing station
Secondary Dark has Dark watchers in all powers to slow recharge on the bad guys ur tem is fighting also works quite well.
Plus when Base raids come back it will be great to hold peeps back in the base.
All in all I have spent about 300mil on the build and it works well for PVP
I got a toon on union, purely concept for the name, Bubbleglum. She's FF/Dark as i said and TBH, other than the name I'ms truggling to find any valid reason to play her. Dark Secondary on a defender just seems so useless. Stuns that only affects minions, an immob, altohuhg pbAoE that doesn;t seem all that great and relatively low power attacks seem to mean that it's not much cop. FFF is good so far and thans to hero stats I can keep an eye on the shields but it's just achingly, crushingly dull atm, level 22 she is. So, does it get better or will I (probably) delete her?
