The way I did it was to keep the 'forward' and right mouse button pressed and steer with the mouse. For powers: Super Speed and/or speed boosts for speed and Super Jump for better steering/control+better speed in air.
I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.
if only fly would've bin faster, i can just fly the damn thing :P

You're not the only one.. i guess my hand eye co-ordination just isn't good enough Not got any of the skiing badges..

Well I abused my second build last night and took flight, ss and sj. Managed to get the Bronze and Silver with Flight (although it took a few goes) but i think 30 secs is abt the best I am going to get out of that power lol.

For the Expert run I found CJ was the answer, for the Ski Race I found SJ much better. I always steer with my mouse and that's it advice wise I guess

Max slot/enhance SS, SJ and swift, slap on a power slide power, pick up buffs from base - and SB is no longer needed. I managed to break the gold without IR too! Yayness! Back to PVP!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who just goes "Huh?" to those people that got their Gold badge on the first evening. I managed Silver on both runs now, but that only by a hair's breath (59.88 on the bunny slope!) and through what for me were pretty much perfect runs that I can't see myself improving significantly. How anyone can be almost 20 seconds faster on the new slope without immediately running off the course (which I already manage with just Sprint on, never mind any speed buffs) is completely beyond me 
i think this year the winter event is great, i was up till 2am getting those skiing badges
it took soooooooo long but it was wourth it! did the old one in 23 seconds and the new one in 49.75 :P (and for me that is pretty good since i suck really badly at the skiing events ^^')
