Themed Cossie Pieces for Non Weapon Based Chars

We have Rularuu, Talsorian and Roman weapon skins for the weapon wielding power sets, so how about some glove, boot or chest detail options for those characters that aren't weapon based? Not a "it's not fair™" thread, before anyone suggests it might be

Well you can already get Roman Armour and the Talsorian weapons are an extension of Vanguard armour, but other than that would like to see Ruluruu costume pieces

Good point well made... ironically it was the Rularuu weapons that made me think of this in the first place; how could I forget the Roman and Vanguard cossies? *palm to forehead*

Still, the idea of more unlockable costume content has been one of those things people have wanted... well, since they invented unlockable costume pieces (think it was the witch's hat from Croatoa first).

Well, I think the unlockable costume options have been a roaring success. I'd suggest the implementation of yet more unlockable costume options based upon the collecting of badges (specific single ones AND collections of badges).

I think envy and ambition help to drive traditional MMOs with rare costume pieces being sought out and proudly worn. WoW used this to great effect early on with their raid earnt costume pieces.

Unlockable weapons further increase the envy, with some people being inspired to roll a certain specific SpecLine because their weapons look so cool (and are unavailable to the other SpecLines) - think nictus Broadsword, for example. So there's a dilemma of balancing availability and exclusivity, which are both good in the correct amount of measure.

Of course you could do the same thing as they do in the winter event missions. Every time you complete a tf you get to choose a cossie reward of choice. Can be a weapon or some gloves etc.

What you like an idea of somekind fictional royal theme? A littlebit like a centaurs in Babylon 5. I'm made some royal backrounds to my Zachary character, but I have some difficulties to make a good costume for that theme.

Centaurs? im guessing you mean Centauri in which case your some what missing the point what the OP is suggesting is that there be more unlockable costumes in the same vain that there is unlockable weapons. In there suggestion they mention the Roman, Talsorian, and Rularuu weapons that are unlocked when you complete a specific task within the game as has been pointed out that costumes already exist to go with Roman weapons and Talsorian (vanguard) weapons but more could be added.

As a example you can unlock a Nemesis rifle if you get the revealer badge by Defeating 100 Fake Nemesis robots costume parts could be added to this reward as well so for a example Defeat 100 Fake Nemesis robots would grant a nemesis rifle and a selection nemesis costume parts

the same could be done for Watchman Badge which could give you access to some rikti themed costume parts as well as the rikti themed weapons.

of special note (i think) is the "Nictus Sword" this is currently rewarded for completing the ITF 5 times and acts very much as a carrot to those who have done it once but the carrot only works for sword users if they were to add Nictus based costume pieces along with this reward every one would benefit from completing the trial 5 times and gain a shiny new nictus themed costume

Making Rularuu and some other unlockable faction themed armor pieces - Agree. More unlockable weapons are good too of course, like a "severed freakshow robot appendage" axe or mace

Now I get the point. Some nemesis helmet or jacket would be nice, if you are not rifle user. Thats true. Most of characters are not weapon users. When you unlock the costumepart you actually get nothin new.

(Octobuses... octobe... octobuses... slightly centauri style costume set would be nice at all)

I'd like to point out that not all weapon users get anything when they unlock one of these things. For the life of me, I can't remember what it was, but I've got some badge that should have given me something... were I not a dual blade scrapper and therefore I get zip for that option.

Don't get me started on Axe options. It's a shame all the decent axes have to be unlocked, and as a default you're stuck with choosing from "Axe Heroes: B&Q Edition"

same with Archers and the majority of weapon unlocking badges. nothing for rikti badges, no nictus bow, etc.

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Very true and that had occured to me and should also where posable be rektified so maybe some steampunk ish inspired swords and bows for nemisis not sure if a rikti bow could exist tho.

and of course every one would benafit from more costumes. it would even go some way to placate those who are looking for faction specific costume parts
