QoL - Number of Active Missions
It might be a good idea now that you can totally turn off XP, so if you're trying to see all the content, you can have more missions on the go at once.

I find that if you can have lots of open missions, you tend to end up hanging onto loads until you outlevel and dump them, but 3 does seem a little too few, yes.

You can have as many "open" contacts as you like already, since you're not required to accept the next mission in an arc right away. If you don't feel like playing the missions contact #1 is offering right now, accept a mission from contact #2 instead. You will be able to return to contact #1 (or any other from your list) later and pick up the story arc where you left it.
I'm not saying that it'd necessarily be a bad idea to allow more than three open missions, but I don't see a real need for this, either.

Yeah, a little more room would be nice, I think. Especially seeing as you cant drop Contact, for arcs that are way below your current level.

Within limits. Hero side (don't think there are any villain side) you can only have two gold/yellow arcs open at a time. This is another restricting factor. You don't always know you are opening a gold arc, they are sometimes the first offered mission, and once you do you will end up drying your other contacts' instanced missions if you open two arcs without closing one.

I'ld be happy with having more than two gold arcs available at a time. The speed at which people level these days now mean you quickly outlevel your own content and have to go back just to be able to get future content.

Yeah, but actually having more than 2 arcs would not help as long as there is any limit. People are lazy. They will drop arcs in the middle and go back to them only if forced to. The original problem with gold arcs was that there was no way to tell you had them open and you just ended up drying up all your contact missions, not knowing that you needed to kill two arcs back in the 30-35 range, or something.

I was wondering if an increase to the number of active missions available (i.e. from 3 to say, 5) could be implemented at some point?
I have no idea how this being implemented would affect anything so it's a very basic suggestion as it stands.
I know, from going through the later stages of Villains, that having more than 3 missions at a time would have made things a lot easier for opening contacts' call buttons sooner.
I have a slightly different but effectively the same suggestion: differentiate certain missions (costume slot, capes, auras, enhancement stores (CoH only), the dreaded 'speak to X' missions) from 'regular' contact and radio missions. For example:
Three slots for missions from contacts/radio
Two slots for 'miscellaneous' missions.
Again i'm not sure how that could work, but it's a thought.
