i13 Upkeep?
While I appreciate the irritation of some players - I love the changes. With just lil ole me in my SG I have tonight got meself a big-a$$ base with HUGE rooms to run round in cos I can finally afford it. I have no need for worktables or storage because there is only me there so I am gloriously rent free
Although I did find modifying a small base into a big one to be somewhat taxing because of the need to permanently keep all the base 'attached'. Would be much better if you could rejiggle all your rooms and as long as the base 'works' when you are done then all is well with the world!
Golden-Phoenix - Lvl 50 Fire/Fire Tank
Oodja Nikabolokov - Lvl 50 SS/WP Brute
Baby-Phoenix - Lvl 50 Peacebringer
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris?
Yeah - I've put my base upgrade on hold for a few months, because with the refund plus the price reductions, I need just over 1 million more Prestige to get the biggest plot

City of Heroes comics and artwork
But what do the big SG's do with millions of prestige that can't be used?
How do you differentiate/reward the longtime big SG's?
- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!
My SG has loved the prestige refund. As I've said elsewhere, the last two days have seen me overhaul our base entirely - and for the first time ever, introduce some more 'themed' decoration, rather than just using every speck of prestige on 'functionality'.
I've still got a nice amount left, and so I think another expansion is necessary
What I'm wondering is - when you 'opt in' to the base raiding 'rules', will it show you where you base breaks those rules, so that you can make the changes necessary to allow raiding?
I've done what I can to avoid intersecting my items (the concept just scares me - and looks daft a lot of the time).

Wondering this too.
If there's a clicky button to enable raiding, will the affected items glow red or something so we can spot them?
Fahie
That would be best.
I'm just scared of a message saying "There are items in your base that are preventing this option from being activated" - without telling you WHERE they are. Big bases, beware, lol.

You can bet your life the "raid able" button will just be greyed out till you clear all paths.

Is anyone else concerned that if you build a 'raidable' base now (vault, anchors, raid telepad, turrets, defences, etc - just to be 'ready') that they'll come along and change the raids so significantly that it's all massively redundant?

I dont think they can change much really, they might remove requirements in line with making everything else easier but thats about it.
Also the way they are going there wont be anyone left who likes pvp to pvp in a base raid anyway so it dont really matter.
there is a post ( i think its the patch notes or a comment from Posi ) stating that base owners can "opt in" to the base raid restrictions, or leave them as they are now with the ability to intersect items.
