Basically it is far more difficult now than it was prior to I9 (maybe it was too easy before then), needs far more coordination, less people allowed in map, debt cap guaranteed and last but not least, there are other/better/funnier ways to get same reward.-
Yeah, if rewards is what your looking for, STF or LRSF is your best bet. Even a PuG of it can work out well.
Well as Nightmarer said. It is more differcult then before issue 9. He is tougher, he regains his mitos (and thus kills all in vicinity (unless they are tp'ed)) at 75%, 50% and 25%, there is a cap on how many can be in the zone. Debt is guarantied.
The first try on union after i9 took us about 7 hours. At the end we where simply hellbent on taking him down... and did.
Hamidon is the supreme challange on CoX and needs lots of coordination. However one can argue that the differculty do not match the reward now. Thus few try.
(Must admit i never did hamidon pre issue 9 so cant really talk of the good-ol-days and stratagems then)

On defiant, we used to meet up once a month, for a community event as we saw it. It was fun catching up with friends - this was pre global channels. we all had fun. I may be older than most here, but I still remember what fun is. 
The reason it was hit so badly was all of the american farmers.
Which is not to say it was easy, but it was a rinse n repeat way of doing it. It did need looking at but, sledgehammer to crack a nut comes to mind.
As others have pointed out above, there are easier ways to get the same/better reward for your time now. So he sits in the hive now almost forgotten and ignored.

That's because of the Nemesis plot of hatching him. 1,000,000 HOs spawn, first to get to Hami gets all the HOs! 
Did this twice before they change it ,had a great deal of fun .The first time with my troller who seemed to spend most of his time facedown as he was in the wrong place all the time would be rezzed then killed straight away,but then did it with a blaster no deaths just loads of fun think on hat occasion we had about 90 ppl in there fighting and some good comiediens amongst them,from what I have heard about it now will not attempt it again.But any that do good luck to you.

I remember that raid - I was on PA dropping duties above Hami and every time I looked down you were dead/dying at a new location

Pretty much like any other GM sadly. Once someone has a badge there's absolutely no point in taking on a GM.

I havent tried it from the changes but the raid before were alot of chaotic fun. (: i enjoyed the many i did before it changed >.<
Just seeing the hami raid being organised on onion and I was wondering , what exactly is the reason hami raids are run anymore? just how nerfed did it get ? is it because of the lowering in GM XP reward ?
