Excite me about Peacebringers please

So, it’s been a while since I hit 50 and so far, I’ve spent all my time on my Warshade. Now, I love my Shade and I’ve had 30 odd levels of pleasure out of him but I haven’t tried the light side yet. Namely, I’ve yet to have a go with Peacebringers. But planning out my build and looking at the power sets, I’m a little concerned. My concerns are thus:

Endurance I love Stygian Circle. It’s an awesome power and I fire it off at every opportunity. But instead of this amazing power, Peacebringers get Conserve Power to help with their endurance concerns which has a longer recharge and appears to be less effective. So am I going to have to succumb to Stamina on my PB?

Damage I love my mires too. There’s nothing quite like double miring a huge spawn then leaping into Nova and blasting the snot out of them. PBs instead get Build Up. Which last for how long? And that is just one boost, not two. So come on, how does the damage output from a PB compare? Is it really as good? And what do I get instead of my Fluffies? Demented brainless balls of light that go boom?

Control Warshades get some nice control powers: stuns, knockback, holds, immobilises. From what I can see, there’s a bit of knockdown in the melee attacks and a few stun powers but that seems to be it. How do you guys cope with Quants and Voids?

In short, I want to love my Peacebringer and want to feel inspired to level her up a bit. But what do I have to look forward to? The above is all a bit tongue in cheek, I’ve seen Peacebringers in action and they’re pretty impressive. But what should I be getting excited about? Where do they shine brighter than their dark cousins? Lacking the above, they seem lacklustre to me so I figure I must be missing something. Help me find what it is.

Cheers.

Short answer: yes, if you intend to use human form at all.

No, it's not as good if you are fighting team sized spawns. However, Castle is sharpening his nerf bat for double mire.

Quite easily. PB has as much, if not more KB and hold as WS. They don't have the immob, and thier stun is not as good. However single target melee damage is better, so they can kill quickly.

Light Form. Self healing that doesn't depend on the proximity of mobs to work. +max hp, which can be used in conjunction with nova and dwarf form.

Overall, WS are better damage dealers, but PBs are more durable.

I really should do something about this signature.

Depending on how many forms you are willing to use it is possible to do some respectable AoE damage with a PB as an alpha-strike. I find that Build-Up > Nova Form > Nova Scatter > Nova Detonation will wipe out most minions leaving you the opportunity to floor the rest with whatever combination of powers suit the situation.

Stamina is a must if you invest in Human Form attacks, they devour Endurance. It may be possible to get by using just Conserve Energy, Nova Form (as a kind of mobile rest) and Frankenslotting Set IOs, but I have my doubts.

The core difference though is a PB's independence. You don't need mobs (or corpses) to buff yourself. Sure the buffs don't last as long (Compared to a WS) but they're consistent in what they give and you don't need to dive into the middle of a mob to use them.

The big difference between the two Khelds is that WSs are superior offensively and PBs defensively.
How do I deal with Qs/Voids - easy enough even before they got nerfed to the point they ceased to be any sort of threat. Nova form - open up with one of your KB attacks and blast them into oblivion before they get back to their feet.
The 3 self heals that a PB gets make a huge difference to your survivability and allow you to be a decent tank in dwarf form - your taunt still requires a to-hit check but is up often enough to spam although your attacks will help you keep aggro as much.
At a push you even have a reasonable single target ally heal

If you intend using human form a lot then yes you will want stamina - if you are primarily in the forms then avoid it. I have neither stamina nor Conserve Power on mine but I am primarily Nova/Dwarf with human powers basically where there was nothing else to pick and so have very little end problems.

I find them quite useful, they do a lot of damage. Long recharge on them though.

Warshade fluffies are much better (yes, I do play a PB) but the peacebringer fluffbombs arent all useless. Just not as useful.

yes - I still regard them as 3 mini nukes so much better burst damage but the WS pets will out damage given any sort of length of a battle

Irony of ironies. This thread has reawakened my interest in playing my Warshade.

Not quite what you were looking for, but I thought I'd say thanks.
