Um, Fire tanks already have mez protection to all except kb. But I see what you mean about wanting kb protection.
As a person on fire it fits the concept perfectly imo, maybe raise the stats a bit higher but would seem a bit wierd if a wall of fire doesnt reduce fire damage to you.
The power imo should be something like 30% fire resist and -15% cold resis (a small drawback to fit concepts).

You could always buy an Anti-KB IO but then you need BF's or Burn to get rid of any Immob. The Kn Io works great on my FA brute, resists all but Ballista's and Fake Nem's FF KB powers. Sucks with all the Immob though.

I have Acrobatics for KB Protection atm but it is no longer 'all powerful' I know Plasma Shield (iirc) gives Mez/Hold pretection but woul like there to be a KB resist power in the set. I considered ditching Acrobatics in favour of 2 KB Ios but they are somewhat er... costly
Temperature Protection is pretty pointless as without it I am running at 90% Fire Resistance and there are very few enemies out there that do Ice Dmg, or at least enough to worry me

You forgot imm protection. Only burn gives this for a duration, but for many sets burn is not much of a usefull skill.
Even with KB IO's, you're pretty much stuck to the jumping pool.
Then again, each Tankset has a 'penalty', fire its KB/Imm.

imo fire aura should make you immune to burning, you are in fact already on fire so any more fire is like lighting a candle that is already on.(but i suspect this will stay my own opinion)
They have to make it balanced. What use would a fire scrapper/tank/blaster be against, say, infernal or Dra-Gon? it would make certain missions and bad guys impossible to defeat solo for certain toons. I believe Infernal used to have 100% Fire resistance but this was toned down.

While Temperature Protection is a bit of a naff power it can be used to slot a -KB IO in which is handy cause then you have always on KB protection.
If it was to be changed i would probably be tempted to take it along the lines of grounded and have it give some limited KB / Imob protection when on the ground. Nothing to drastic maybe the same KB protection as can be had from Acrobatics and enough immobilise protection to ignore one immobilise. (which could then be used with burn to further increase your immobilise protection)
I didn't take Temp Protection on my Fire tank because it didn't offer that much. Ive got KB protection from a IO which is slotted in my Combat Jumping power and this works quite well accept on the odd occasion with AVs. And even when it happens then I can run straight back in a get agro back with Taunt.
If Temp Protection was swapped with something that offered KB protection I would probably respec it in and replace Burn. Burn is quite good if you are either:
a) With a troller that can hold everything in place
b) Soloing or in a group that gets over its head. As bad guys will try to run away from the area of effect and then run back giving you a few seconds breathing room.
I rarely use it for the immobilisation aspect.
I would love it to be replaced with something that gives KB Protection - I have acrobatics so dont really need a -KB IO and really would begrudge taking a power just for that considering the expense of the IOs.

Hang on - surely slotting a KB IO in any slot means that it's always on, regardless of whether or not the power itself was on (e.g. putting it in a toggle)?
As i understand it unless its a set bonus the power has to be active for the proc to work so if u have a -KB IO in stealth you would only be protected from KB when stealthed same goes for the IOs that are chance of +end etc.
But i may be wrong.
AFAIK IT procs all the time, same as the LoTG +Recharge. I have one of each slotted across my two fire/kins and hardly ever get knocked back. One of which is in Increase Density as I had no other +RES (or maybe +DEF) powers in which to slot it.
After getting reacquianted with my Fire/Fire tank recently I started wondering. Does anyone actually take the 'Temperature Protection' power? I don't know of anyone that has it (granted I dont know every fire tank in the game) and in light of all these upcoming tweaks and adjustments to powers is it time it got exchanged for something more useful.
For preference I would like something along the lines of
'Wall of Flames' - Mez/Hold/KB Protection much like every other tank/scrapper set has. This would then mean I can ditch SJ and Acrobatics which has never been the same since it was 'adjusted'
I would be interested to hear other peoples thought on this!
