For zonal PvP fire/fire would be very nice, not so much when there is teams with 2/3 thermals though. 
Apart from the KB situation it'd do pretty well.
There's much worse sets, too.
Im currently lvl´n a fire/fire scrapper just for the fun off it, and the damage output is just crazy tbh, try find a brute and pop bu+fe and just watch the thing die in seconds :P
I have been lvlin a spine/fire scrapper on and off for a while. Think its gonna be a good all round toon. Only been pve up to now but again the damage output is quite special.
/fire on scrappers seems a really solid choice all round. Good fast heal and another build up power.
Cant wait to get mine up to RV level.
I'm also a PvPing nuv...just practising with my Claws/regen (which is a PVE build). The main problem is that you rely on a Melee atack to kill a blaster... I have very short experience atm but actually 99% of the times I do not have any chance to use my eviscerate... Mainly i'm using focus, shockwave and nemessis staff... Although the damned IO's Knokback protection bonuses does not allow these attacks to shine as they should do they are doing pretty well atm. Can't wait I13 to be released to create PvPing builds for all my toons!
Actually after running around WB a bit I did miss regens uber survivability. Altho the usual fire/nrg blasters were out and they make anything feel squishy.
Made my first run to rv with my fire/fire scrapp, and it pretty much overcome my expectations, was teaming with a emp and blaster, so i had fortitude and popped bu+fe and 1 shot killed a em/regen stalker O_o , with Greater fire sword crit,yes from from full hp btw.....so yeah, damage output on them you cant complain on
I was the emp so i can confirm this

And yes I can confirm you CAN 1 shot with fire attacks cos of the DoT 
Better yet when it crits, all damage come at once, so the regen still wouldnt have a chance to heal either :P

How would a Fire//Fire Scrapper do in zonal PvP?
I was just thinking with BuildUp, FieryEmbrace, GreaterFireSword and landing a Critical would result in a dead blaster?
Any advice? I'm a complete nub to PvP and am wanting to start to get involved srysly.
