Okay, this is pretty odd... I keep going into hide mode. A lot. I type /hide, check everything is off, and it still says I'm hidden sometimes, or I'll check again and hide things will be on...

What the hell is going on?! I never had this problem back in the old days of /hide and /globalhide!

Have you tried /unhide?

I think now both /hide and /unhide display same window where you select/unselect the hiding options.
Maybe the options file was saved on a hidden toon and the file is loaded upon logging?

Are we talking the same character here or different ones? /hide works individually now.

I keep sending tells to global friends on their handles, and getting the '@theirname may be offline or hidden', and they're really, really not.

quite a few of them now, is it similar to this?
(note, that when i use their toon name, they aren't 'hidden')

I don't like the new Hide Options - might as well have a Hiding Scale ranging from 'Barely hidden' to 'Non Existant'. Took me ages to get fully unhid last time i used it lol

There are separate "hidden to global friends" and "hidden to tells" options with the new system.

As I understand it if your friends are hidden to tells, but not friends (i.e. you!), you'll get the clearly inaccurate "may be offline" responses you've been seeing.

That's what I presumed too. I'm only ever hidden on searches, and they've got no hidden options on at all...yet the '@' is always hidden, and the local name never is :S
