Pistols Powerset Idea
Well thats my idea anyway, but i also have an extra couple of moves if these seem overpowered or dont work out:
Cyanide Tipped Bullets
Self Buff +toxic damage to attacks, or +damage, Recharge: Long
You exchange your clips for cyanide tipped bullets, which poisons each target you fire at until the bullets run out, at which point your attacks will return to normal.
Incapacitating Shot
Damage: Minor Recharge:very Long
Lethal Damage, Ranged Single Target, Foe Hold or Foe Immobilise
You fire weighted lead shots at your opponents chest, effectively incapacitating him/her for a while.
Please let me know what you think of this, i know its been mentioned before but as far as I know I'm the only one to have come up with a powerset.
Also i do realise this is going to take ages to do an will most likely involve and entire issue, but with that you could also release holsters costume piece nice start to the pistols career

I like these powers, especially Spinning Shot, wouldn't mind seeing something like Cryo Rounds and Firey (Forget the proper name =P) Rounds though =]

It will only be same as everyone trying out duel blades/willpower, its fun for like 5 mins then they get bored and move on, been after this from day one though so im looking forward to it.
Shame the posts only say sometime in the future though, knowing how devs work its most likely a few years away

Was thinking about that myself when i made them up tbh but tried to keep it as close to real thing as possible. Plus think giving it a ice hold from cyro or another slow might make it too powerful, firey shots is suppose you could probably do, something like napalm shot etc, for a fire DoT, didnt include it though because i think the powers that are up atm are perfect for the class balence wise.
we should have special ammo, like incendiary etc. but i like the pistol idea, though

Incindary Rounds, and yes, although it has been suggested many times before, I like this Idea, although theyde probably stick to the already used powers by Thugs and Enforcers, but I think they might use some of the above to fill in the gaps left.
A total of 14 of my nerves have been harmed in the making of this post...

Well, yes, made worse by the fact that your typical gun kata would be Pistol/SR and people tend to give up on /SR fairly early.
I made a DB/WP because they were two sets I hadn't tried before. It plays very well and I may even keep playing that one. I think Pistols/SR would be even more 'flavour of the month'.

I really should do something about this signature.
In general it seems reasonable but would probably have the Cyanide tipped rounds just do +Poison DoT rather than adding poison damage to all attacks.
Also I can't see why armour piercing rounds should do knockback after all they are bypassing the resistant parts and expending their energy more slowly in the fleshy parts.
Oh and if my Pistol/traps blastermind is anything to go by damage will be good but the end use could be crippling although at least with a corrupter/blaster the hit points would be a lot better.

Didn't want to stick my nose back in here, but I hate it when people make that spelling mistake/typo for some reason. It really winds me up.
Personally, cool, I've never seen the need for large numbers of ranged attacks on a Scrapper. I don't like Spines for that reason. It's supposed to be a melee AT. The fact that people are constantly suggesting ranged sets for Scrappers just shows they want the world on a plate.

That said, every Scrapper set ought to include one (short) ranged attack -- without it, enemies running away get really annoying really soon.

More or less agreed, and I think that most of them do. I know Katana and Broadsword have 10ft range attacks. The only ones I can think of that don't are DM and DB.
Mind you, given the mob escape mechanics in this game, you're better off switching targets and letting them go. They don't bring back reinforcements, they will return to their spawn point to be swept up later. Chasing them is just a way to grab aggro.

LMAO that would be awesome but highly unlikely, i was thinking more of a matrix style jump when i wrote that, like a backflip firing bullets as he/she goes, then landing in a crouch position, arms either side and firing two more before standing up.

Strongly agree with that, a scrapper doesnt want ranged attacks, otherwise you might as well just have a blaster. The thing they should be asking is a possible form of DB/kat/BS/claws on blaster as a secondary set, with the occasional changed power.
Ok i asked around and a lot of people would like to see some form of the current mastermind thugs pistols been used in a full set.
So in accordance to this ive come up with a skill tree for it which is as below:
Quick shot
Damage: Minor Recharge:Fast
Power 1, lethal damage, Foe Knockdown, Ranged Single Targeted
Fires a quick shot from each of your pistols, fast but low damage, has a small chance to knock your opponent down
Precise shot
Damage: Moderate Recharge:Moderate
Power 2, Lethal Damage, Foe Knockback, Ranged Single Targeted
Slower than Quick Shot but deals more damage and has a chance to knockback your opponent.
Empty clip
Damage: Moderate Recharge:Moderate
Power 3, Lethal Damage, Foe Knockback, Ranged cone
You empty the clips of both your pistols in an arc of suppression fire. This attack can blast multiple foes in the affected cone area, it has a small chance of knocking some foes down
Aim
Power 4, Self Buff +acc +damage
Greatly increases the chance to hit of your attacks for a few seconds. Slightly increases damage
Piercing Shots
Damage: High Recharge:Long
Power 5, Lethal Damage, Ranged Single Targeted, Foe knockdown -defence or -resist (depending on devs choice)
You fire two highly damaging armor piercing rounds from your pistols, which pierce your opponents defences rendering his armor useless. Due to recoil this power takes a lot of energy and has a slow recharge
Impair Movement
Damage: Minor(DoT) Recharge:Moderate
Power 6, Lethal Damage DoT, Foe Immobilise, Foe Slow, Ranged Single Targeted
You aim for your opponents legs, which causes some small damage over time but may immobilise your foe, even if the target is not immobilised it will still be slowed. Flying Targets may only be slowed.
Head Shot
Damage: Moderate Recharge:Moderate
Power 7, Lethal Damage, Foe Disorient, Ranged Single Targeted
You fire straight for your opponents head, which may disorientate the target
Spinning shot
Damage: Extreme(DoT) Recharge: Very Long
Power 8, Lethal Damage DoT,Melee Range AoE, Foe Knockdown
You jump and spin in a circle, firing shots all around you which deals heavy damage and has a good chance to knockdown your foes
Suppression Fire
Damage: High (DoT) Recharge:Very Long
Power 9, Lethal Damage DoT, Ranged Cone, Foe Immobilise, Foe Slow
You set your pistols to fully automatic and unleash heavy suppression fire from both your pistols, tearing through anything it hits and not allowing your opponents to move. There is a chance to land an extra shot for slightly more damage.
