you say you don't have Photoshop, have you tried Artweaver? it's very similar to Paint Shop Pro only it's free. it worked great for me (until I found my old hard drive with paint shop pro 6 on it) but like Cynic said it looks great in black and white anyway.
Great work as always Dan, I love your style. There's something very traditional about it, yet still has the charms of modern comics. Nowt wront with a bit of Black and White either!
