MMO Art?
Personally, I think they've shot themselves in the foot when it comes to customer trust. This isn't the first time they've had problems, and I'd be surprised if anyone burnt a second time by this apparent "Outlook database corruption" will use them again.
Besides, who the hell doesn't back up critical client data?!

Hmm, the Email DB going Kaput? might not be wholly true... i just received one from them, i haven't contacted them in over a year, so if it went bye bye... how do they have my email?

Well, at least it's a sign of a life as there's a lot of rather angry costumers out there.
My aunt (the original Miss Marvellous) received her art last September (forum avatar if anyone's interested) but it was water damaged.
Despite numerous promise to redraw as priority as she has paid the full commission price she still has no art.
As for the reboot she's heard this several times before so she's not holding her breath.

Just discovered this myself after, amusingly, being sent an email from them! (and this is from a trashed database? Amazing really.....)
Thing is, i REALLY want my artwork, on my wall, above my PC.
But I don't know if I trust em anymore to send the rest of the money for it!

Hello everyone. First I would like to apologize for such a lengthy time in the dark as its been understandably described. I am aware that it seemed as if there were a few instances however there was actually only one really long event that impacted not only my business and my art in a major way, but also my family. I do understand that it is not professional to let private affairs effect business affairs and I also dont expect everyone to understand the full gravity of the situation. Please understand this though. I have been drawing for the past 24 years, 13 of them professionally and this is the only situation that ever made me put my pencil down. To see my reputation drug through the mud and my integrity questioned is something I can assure you wasnt by choice. I do plan on doing everything possible to correct that and to regain the trust and admiration of you all once again.
I would also like to expound upon our recent reboot and the future of MMOART.com. I want you to know this clarification about our former database. What we lost was the email correspondences with most of our clients, including their original orders. What was already saved were the screenshots and website files and other misc. documents that had nothing to do with Outlook. So it's not that we didn't know who is who, it's that if we needed to contact a particular client, we may not know the last conversation we had about their commission and/or what their current email address is. And the reason why we were still able to send out the newsletter mailing earlier is because that is built in a web-based mailing script, not Outlook. We log into it on-line, type in a mass message, and it automatically sends the mailing out to hundreds of email addresses that are registered on there. There's no way we could possibly filter through the hundreds of email addresses that are batched together to figure out who is a client, who is a fan, who is a collabo artist, etc., etc.
As for the actual commission process, you can expect the current pace at which artwork and updates have been released to remain constant. You can expect to see that the lights at MMOART.com will never dim again. I will also be posting updates here, the next will be a Coin chibi and special piece for Mr. Marvellous. If you guys have any questions please dont hesitate.

I could be wrong, and the info has gone from their site, but if I remember correctly, uless you ordered one of the digital only artworks, you should have got a hardprint of them as well.

Nope didnt get one but i forgot all about it till now. Gill has been in touch so no doubt things will be sorted out!
If they have such a massive backlog, they may not be too upset to have the orders dry up for a bit
