I'm still in for R.A.P.I.E.R and Pious is gone for now. Hopefully he'll be back when whatever happenings get settled. I haven't been on as much recently as my reliable PC and my new laptop are both toasted which means I got my old Athlon 1.4Ghz to work with and it only just runs City; load times are atrocious though.
So I'm still here but shadowed.
With regards to the concept change: I don't think we need to change it too much as the sudden loss of soldiers would no doubt shock the top-brass into investigating and re-evaluation (something to RP, the investigation). Knowing what they know about the Rikti they might want to focus on local matters instead.

Following a discussion earlier between Redsight, CB and myself, among others, an idea on a new uniform going off Redsight's suggestions (But -only- an idea so far):
Clicky
Torso is Armored > Flack Jacket > Camo (3rd grey after black/Black)
Legs are Pants > Camo (Same)
Boots are Work (Black)
Headgear would be optional, and I'd assume gloves could be too.
I did mention the problem of those with Power Armour etc, and I think it's safe to say those with it wouldn't need to reduce themselves to this in a mish. >.>

Hey folks, i'm very much still up for this, But I've realised this isn't the direction i want to go with Raven. i've also been a bit quiet recently been busy so whenever i got on the computer i've just been rushing playing tbh.
I'm rather easy with what direction we go in, although i did enjoy Pious' vision - lets hope we can keep this breathing. A giant force isn't needed surely ?
Yeah I'd hate to see this die too....but it's looking kinda stale. I'm the only one who's been on with their RAPIER toon in the last week (that I've seen at least).

I've been busy with my alts and lack of decent running PC. My play time is cut back a bit and I've been roping in other RP stuff (imagine having 36 characters that you want to give a proper backstory before the extra slots went live).

Right, in an effort to rework R.A.P.I.E.R we pretty much came up with this ingame:
* Staying militaristic, but going with the privately-funded route rather than the US Army. I have one -possible- idea for where that funding could come from.
* "Thunderbirds + The Authority - campness - most of the dimension-hopping", basically, which would mean less universe-hopping (Less 'Stargate' as someone put it) and more action on CoX-Earth.
* Any Origin, Any AT, Any Powersets
* They'd still use a flying carrier to get about, and I've redone the whole base in an effort to get it looking like the innards of a ship, but it's still in progress and it needs more Prestige.
* Redsight's idea: The comms system would be handled by a mutant with the "power to generate and manipulate transmissions and signalling information"

Thought this needed a fresh start. One to see who's still interested. Two, to see if there are any others interested.
Ok after some deliberation last night it was agreed that we should drop the Dimension Hopping angle and focus instead on the Search and Rescue/Locate and Destroy concept that Pointless originally envisioned.
Think of them as a curious hybrid of SHIELD and Thunderbirds (only with automatic weapons!). Funded and ultimately controlled by the US Army, assigned to patrolling the skies above Paragon in their flightsuits, monitoring the radio channels and satellite uplinks from their vast airborne base known simply as "The Carrier".
