Ninjas can be a challenging primary.

I'd definitely go with the Poison. Those Ninja's are rather fragile & run off into melee, so the ranged Poison heal, Alkaline is ideal. I tried with a different secondary once & used the Medicine Pool, but it's (A) Short Range, (B) slow recharge & (C) Interuptable, so it's really not ideal for Ninja's (in my opinion).
Poison also offers several great buffs & debuff's too.
I'm going to wait till they proliferate /sonic or /kinetics with ninjas because otherwise I think they're a bit squishy.
If I had to go with anything now it would be FF because ninjas with decent defence might not die 
, but then again I'm not too sure of their damage without debuffs, but I did ok with my thugs/ff.

The only MM I've ever played was Nin/Psn. Took it to L26, soloed 4 AVs (can't recall which). I'd say it's pretty solid. Poison is awesome.
I deleted the toon cuz I needed the slots and I don't like playing CoV that much. It annoys me to team with other MMs.
