[/ QUOTE ]Actually Tyger's uniform color is black and white; that picture is him in supergroup colors. His uniform is more urban combat and I considered other camo patterns like desert (yellow/brown) and jungle (green/dark brown).

Considering some of these members can come from other worlds you could even have one from some Arachnos dominated world where their camo is red/black.

Are all of R.A.P.I.E.R from Military backgrounds? Or are some of them from civilian backgrounds? Just I was thinking, there are quite a few Psychics, so I had a rethink and might use my little used Archery/Devices missing persons specialist "Trace", but he wasn't Military, he was more like an advisor to the police. Would that be ok? He's lvl 24 too.

My character is Commander OmegaPrime, still attempting to get the right sort of Rp way for him, since I hardly ever used him before this for Rp and he's not like the other character I have. Presently lvling him up somewhat considering that he is atm lvl 9.

Right... I want to get in this SG. Would it be a problem if I said that my character is a Field Marshal? (I took the rank on a whim. Ehe.) Character's name is Psi-Unit.

[/ QUOTE ]No. Tyger is definitely non-military. I've yet to run the full idea past Pious and co but I was hoping that he would be a non-com ataché from Vanguard. He is definitely not military trained but he did serve Vanguard for a short time during the first invasion.

From what I understand the group is military commissioned and can accomodate several backgrounds, civilian or otherwise.

We're not using ranks DK, just the four level-orientated teams, each which alternating captains, depending on the mission. Psi-Unit can join, of course. I'll update the member list later. Trace can join too, Tyger's correct, as always.

having read your ..in the newspapers.. post on the founding of R.A.P.I.E.R.

how do you envisage/want the rest of the RPing world interacting with the event and ongoing exsistance of R.A.P.I.E.R. ?

do you want us to treat you as another hero corp and in effect ignore you ...leaving you to RP internally

or do you want the RP world react as if it is a real world event ... ie the global out cry at the USA's unilateral action ... how the civ lib lobby would react ... how heroes and hero groups would react .. particularly those from alt dim's

i ask only in the interest of good RPing.. as im sure you have seen how the army types have found a chilly reaction at GG over the past few nights .. dont want to spoil your RP by unwanted RP reactions to the R.A.P.I.E.R. toons .

so please give out some guidance on how you would like to be treated ....

Personally I'd like TRace to be treated like any other hero. He's not a gun toting killer, he's a specialist in finding missing persons and rescuing trapped people. The fact that he'd be affiliated with R.A.P.I.E.R shouldn't mean he or anyone else should be shunned.

any member ..one would hope .. would be judged on their own merits... , as i seen have happening at GG .. i mean they will have lives outside R.A.P.I.E.R wont they ...

Emily comes to GG on her free time, as she's just not capable of unwinding without something to toy over in her head.

A bit of a minefield this one.

I'd vote for realistic reactions to the news. If I'd heard of this, and then heard that way of seeing it, I'd agree and complain about Team America: Dimensional Police.

However, there's two things to bear in mind:

1. The Second Gulf War (Iraq) and the War on Terror (Afghanistan) never happened, and in fact they were replaced in the time line by the Rikti Invasion, who are themselves Inter-Galactic, Multi-Dimensional threats.

2. Paragon City is in America. Any countries biggest critics are always other countries. While there are disgruntled American's voicing an outcry about their foreign policy, it's generally accepted to just get on with life in America as opposed to complaining about something that ultimately benefits them and everyone else.

Two things to bear in mind when forming critiques of Rapier. If your character is American and has no prior knowledge of the atrocities (Mobutu, Bin Laden, Iran) that the CIA have committed over the years, they're likely to be pretty okay with this, if not totally supportive as a God Fearing American. Also, the Bush Administration never happened, so we can only assume that the world doesn't hate America as much as it does today.

In this completely Alien alternate Timeline that runs through our MMO, America's actually not perceived such a bad place, compared to the rest of the world.

Although, if you ask me, it's the calling of Heroes and Villains to expose the secrets that the everyday man misses.

One thing I can add to Hatesman's very elequant post is that the City universe has been the subject of a dimensinal incursion before: Reichsman. In the game history, Brian Webb announced to the world that he had broken the dimensional barrier and it brought Reichsman from the Axis universe. So people have been pretty freaked out about it since 1988.

As for members: Tyger is representing Vanguard (or at least one representative), he's had experience with interdimensional travel and he's not politically motivated or directly under the command of the Army. He's been fighting in Paragon for several years and has been a dedicated member of the Power Corps supergroup.
