Just had a look at this 71% defence outside of the T9 power myself... It's extremely easy to reach tbh. that's also without weave and maneuvers. if you were to use them then i can't see any need for kuji-in retsu :P

*edit* i thought i'd post the build i did to show you how to achieve this Cognito. This is by no means a fully done build but it's 3 in the morning and i've just had a quick look at it so i'm sure you'll change powers/slots etc. just 2 quick notes though, you can actually reach 84% without T9 or weave and maneuvers but this gimps your build lol. and on SR you can reach 77% defence without T9, weave and maneuvers and without gimping your build. apart from /nin having that extra placate i'd say SR would be the best choice for a stalker imo. that extra bit of defence plus the +recharge has a whole lot of win tbh

I cant seem to put that into Mids without crashing

Are you including the "parry" power into melee defence?

ooops, i guess that's because i've got the unofficial update to mids with the proliferated power sets, totally forgot.

Yes divine avalanche is included in those totals because it exactly equals 71% with everything else and this morning seemed to be the most logical way to achieve it. there maybe other ways but i do think this will be stalk_obots route also.

Ah that makes sense.. yep I have no difficulty with 71% melee defence using that parry power (name still escapes me!)

Its how Stalky got 71% defence to ranged that beats me!!!

I've had another look and i'm pretty sure you can not get 71% on both melee and ranged defence. I have after a little play now got these totals.

melee:79.9%
ranged:20.4%
AoE:75.7%

Again, that's without the T9 kuji-in retsu, maneuvers or weave.

maybe range was mistakenly quoted instead of AoE and therefore ranged being the lowest.

Have a 50 Dark melee/Super reflexs stalker myself and in no way is my percentages high, 52.87 melee and ranged with a 110.15 AoE out of a tier 9 power. Which when i use elude shoots up a huge percentage, But saying that i have no problems as dark melee offsets the lower percentages.

Friend of mine has a Dark melee/Ninjitsu stalker level 50 and seems to preform reasonably the same in a PvP zone except for the tricks he has up his sleeve. So in comparison i would say none have a advantage over the other as they are both unique in what they do.

Take one that is tailored to your taste as there is no "better" at everything set. One player could handle Ninjitsu far better than they could handle a super reflexs set, All in all its the players skill not the set that makes it good/great/awesome, Whichever of those you prefer to say.

But on a side note if i where Ninja sword i would have a 82.87% defence vrs melee if i hit the power twice. So is ninjitsu better?....to me it's not just a different slant on defence.
