Oh yeah - Flares.
To be honest - since the damage increase, range increase, faster animation and new Defiance I wouldn't be without flares these days.
The damage is reasonable and I personally love continuing to chip away at mezzers with 2 attacks... I hillariously took a Dom out in PvP the other day. He TK'd me and started trash talking (blah blah summin about being his b1tch) and suddenly he got abit too close. Between a couple of flares and a fire blast I managed to take his last bit of health.
If I never used flares again...ever... it would have been worth having them to have killed that guy.

I had to be directed to this because the forums are not going to be part of my life. I will be with the 95% of the people in the game avoiding the 5% of the people on the forums, however the creative and rp section looks great.
I found this comment funny because I have a form of nerdphobia. Thats what a lot of women have. They can take a pick up line of good looking men but anyone else just terrifies them. Sweet Chilli forever trying to gain my attention lately. I am starting to think that I am the reason you come to the non pvp parts of the forum with the lame illogical idea that a persons avatar can tell people anything. I picked the actress that could act the part of one of my characters end of story, its based on that thing "acting". Who is that poor unfortunate person thats in your avatar?

Having not been formerly introduced to Khorak my immediate impression was not good.
I also wondered whether the game was worth the bother in continuing given the people within its player base.
People play the game to have fun and come to the forums for help. I am not subscribing to other peoples idea of fun.
After some digging, I see that Maelwys, Maximillian and Shannon do come here to help people. (In my case with Shannon taking aggro off of me , yes a perhaps over the top reversal). They are the only ones I won't be putting on ignore because I will only come here looking for guidance and nothing more in the future. I don't really have that much time for trash talk/fannying around.
If I tell MaX he's been helping people again he'll be deeply hurt.
Welcome to the forums, ignore the regulars, we're stuck here because no where else will have us.
Oh and I wouldn't take flares myself cause I could normally find something better in my secondary at that level to fill the chain. But am not a big fan or knowledge base on the current version of defiance so it may be handy, but am sure that other ST attacks will serve you better
