Soulbound allegiance what to put it in?

Hey all confused as hell as what to put the purple set for pet damage into? I'm a robot/dark mastermind and would it be best to put it into my minions since the set isn't effected by level exemption and will make my minions hit harder, or shall i put it in the more durable Assault bot so that his attacks would be even more stupidly powerful, any ideas people?
Oh and one more thing is what would be better for the slotting of the chance of build up having it in the minions for the chance of 1-3 pets having build up or just in the assault bot again?

Don't use any infamy on that "chance of build up" IO. It sucks big time. :-/

Really? how come?

The pet build up effect lasts for half the duration of your "normal" build up. The chance of it going off is suspiciously small. And it does not seem to work well with ranged MM pets, the difference is just not worth the slot. And it's only working on the pet it's on.

WAI. If the power summons more than one pet all pets summoned with that power will benefit, but not pets summoned by a different power.

The chance for build up should go in whatever attacks most rapidly.

An MM doesn't need the +recharge, and some of the +damage is redundant, so consider only using part of this set, in conjunction with the +def, +res globals, or whetever else can be usefully slotted in your pet (e.g. protector bots +def).

I really should do something about this signature.

Just giving advice after wasting infamy on a crappy IO that's obviously not meant for MM pets. ;-)

Edit. I gave 70 mill for it. Sorry if I sound bitter. LOL

It's not useless. Its just nowhere near 70 million inf useful (on any pet). One of the reason for collecting the set is for the set bonus, 'specially the +10% recharge, not the individual effects.

Well, it useless on my soldiers, because the difference is just not noticeable. That's all I have to say. And the set bonuses for this one, are crappy too IMHO:

Soulbound Allegiance

(2) Improves your regeneration by 16%
(3) Increases Maximum Health by 3%
(4) Increases Maximum damage by 4%
(5) Reduces the duration of Hold effects on you by 4.4%
(6) Increases Psionic Defense by 5%

All in all, Count Crappula. :-)

Hmm, not -recharge at tier 5? I wonder why not? Anyway, the first 4 tiers are worth having, And that leaves 2 slots left over for other goodness.

The chance of build up will increase the average damage of whatever it's slotted in, but ie ill be small, and if the recipent isn't making a significant contibution anyway, it will be even less. the rest of the set bonus means you don't need to burn a slot for it though. It's worth slotting, but its not worth shelling out for.

You could use your freespec to put it back up for sale. With a bit of luck there will be some other sucker will give you 70 mill for it.

Maybe they thought certain pet users got enough of the good stuff already, and made it somewhat .. boring because of that. Yes, putting in 3-4 of the suckers should be a nice addition for sure. I'll keep the "Chance of build up" IO, as a little reminder. Too bad such things can't be put on a display inside the base. With a little plaque that says: PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.

One of the issues with the original release of pet sets is they where only really designed for MMs, with no +recharge.

SA is better for patron pets, Phantom Army and the like, whist still being useful in part for MMs.

I still don't understand why it doesn't get the recharge bonus though, all the other purple sets do.

I'm suprised the Chance Of Build Up is recieved so poorly in MM pets.
My MM is a little shy of 50 to try it, but I have it in my Plant Dom's Flytrap and it frickin' rocks. A stupid amount of activations and really nice damage when it triggers, esp' on the 'Traps own Fling Thorns.

I didn't buy it for 70 million though !

Sorry to dig this up, but you mention SA is better for Phantom Army. Does this mean the chance for build-up works on PA?

The chance for BU works with all pets, but what I think he means is that SA is the only pet damage set which enhances the recharge time of a pet power. Eg Sovereign Right doesn't enhance the recharge time of PA at all which it isn't particularly a good set for PA, unlike Soulbound Allegiance which enhances the recharge time.

Huh. Weirdly enough, I stuck one of those enhancements on my main MM's Assault Bot, and I see the differences.
Watching all those numbers that the missiles give off get bigger. Its quite special to me.
And I only paid 20million for mine. 70 million?? Damn.
