Made an ice\kin but decided it just wasnt for me i hate buffing other players and would much prefer to debuff my enemys to help the team..have a look at this and let me know what you think!! will proberly change the build a bit once the new sets become available. Ive got a stormy def and tbh hardy use hurricane, but feel it could be usefull for moving a frozen spawn into a corner before hitting them with ice slick, freezing rain, lightning cloud and ice storm
ive put more damage than i would normally in tornado....bah i will let you rip it to shreds first

I don't think it's worth it to slot Tornado with DefDebuffs. Go with 3Dmg3Rech - it does make a different on AV fights.

As for the rest of your powers slotting, I can't really advise on it. It all depends on what kind of bonuses you want. Imo, you're betting way too much on Accuracy bonuses while you'd be better of getting some EndRecovery goodness.

*edit*

I've never bothered to test it but Artic Air slotted with Malaise's Illusions (Chance of Psy Dmg), Cacophony (Chance of energy Dmg) and Impeded Swiftness (Chance of Smashing Dmg) should be good fun

If you want to make the most of Tornado the AOE Immob comes in handy. I'd go 3 damage too.

And since it slows too it should be able to take 2-3 damage PROCs (see Kinetics post in inventions about Crushing Field).

Only downside is its not Ice Slick friendly. But Tornado isn't remotely Ice Slick friendly anyway.

As for your slotting I'm not sure, its too hard with Invention slotting to see what your actual %s are for the enhancements (must send a note to Mids asking for the ability to export Enhancement %s in the forum exports)

I haven't IOed my ice/storm, but in terms of slotting I would do a few things differently:

- Ice Slick: 3 Rechgs. No need for EndRdx
- Glacier: will need more Acc.
- Block of Ice: I would slot with holds (and acc/rechg) not damage. If you want to slot a Decimation set for the bonuses, take Chilblain (I'd drop the Leadership pool for that and also get AA).
- Jack Frost: the pet sets aren't that great, so unless you're really keen on the +def bonuses, you can probably save slots/inf.
- Tornado: I use 3 Dmg 2 Rechg 1 EndRdx.

Hope it helps!

He got tactics and +45% accuracy. Add that to FR's debuffs and I doubt he'll miss Glassier.

ermm... yeah he will once (if) he slots all those IO sets lol. And I was suggesting dropping Tactics anyway. So with SOs/normal IOs, I would still slot 2 Acc.

mmm got the leadership pool as an after thought, i was told artic air isnt worth getting and tbh the only time im going to be in harms way was to hit glacier then lightning cloud and they will be slipping like a goodun with freezing rain and iceslick running , and i have hurricane to help me out if anyone gets into mellee range after that! will have chilbain at lower lvls but i dont see any need for it higher as block of ice has recharge of 3.6 secs, with the set bonuses wasnt really aiming for anything in particular. Will proberly go for a hold set (if i bother at all) in glacier.

edit...just checked jack with the current slotting 98% dam and acc with 70% endred ??? whats wrong it that?

Arctic Air is (imo) a great power (wide PbAoE with major -rechg -movt as well as -stealth and confuse), although quite end hungry. Glacier comes rather late and has a very long recharge, so your main control tools for a while will be Ice Slick, Shiver and Snow Storm (along with Freezing Rain). Then you'll start doing good damage solo after 35 with Tornado and LS (after Frostbite). Chilblain is mainly useful for 3 things: decent damage at low levels (which you'll be lacking solo), containment on bosses/AVs, and slotting ranged dmg IO sets like Decimation.

Edit: although there's a bit of overlap between AA and Shiver and some people prefer sticking to either a melee approach or a ranged one, I still think both are worth taking.

On slotting Jack, 98% damage and acc is of course great (endrdx is not needed given that he's perma until he dies or zones), my point is that you could simply slot normal IOs and spend a lot less inf (or HOs later on and save slots).

upto 24: Level 23 Technology Controller
Primary Power Set: Ice Control
Secondary Power Set: Storm Summoning
Power Pool: Leaping
Power Pool: Fitness

Hero Profile:
Level 1: Chilblain -- (A)
Level 1: Gale -- (A)
Level 2: Block of Ice -- (A)
Level 4: Frostbite -- (A)
Level 6: Snow Storm -- (A)
Level 8: Combat Jumping -- (A)
Level 10: Swift -- (A)

Level 18: Steamy Mist -- (A)
Level 20: Stamina -- (A)
Level 22: Arctic Air -- (A)
Level 24: Shiver -- (A)

i can see end being a big problem even after stamina might have to rethink my epic a bit?

Not wanting to derail the thread too much, but i am interested in gathering more opinions on artic air, is it worth getting or will shiver suffice? The major issue i have is the that of its endurance usage, since my ice troller is an ice/sonic i will have the two sonic toggles also draining my end, and would contemplate throwing some leadership into the mix later if i could!

I don't have a real question per se, just looking for ppl's opinions of it as a power pls.
