Effective Team

For past few nights I have found myself feeling like a cold caller LFT.. its the usual, search for people in lvl range. + or - about 6 levels to find that all teams are -

Sorry TF
Sorry im Sk'd
Sorry we have enough defenders
or
No


Beginning to feel like i am punting double glazing.
I am on most nights from 6:30pm ish GMT til 9pm or 10pm. I am lvl 33 atm and LFT ! always, as I would like to finally get my first lvl 50.

Whats your SG/Coalition like? You should be able to get teams though them.

If you fancy jumping ship and joining a more active coalition, give me a shout.

At least you are getting replies. One thing that annoys me is being ignored.
I just try to not let it get to me and stay polite. I try to always give full information too. Always put my lvl and AT.

I am mostly playin 50s up till i11 and if you cant find anyone and i am online give me a shout. I always like teaming and have no problem ex'in or sk'in.

Agree with Larac too, an active SG makes such a difference.

tbh sg teams dont last that long either.. unless ur in a T30 SG.

im happy to team with u with the embrace Sisters when im ont (next time will be tomaz for a few hrs in the evening).

Isn't it annoying when same players who have a big "Send a tell first" on their search comment won't bother even replying to a polite tell?

its not annoying its damn right rude ... best thing to do is spam invite them til they respond... then say smt along the lines of

Hi Donna, think we have teamed a couple of times. Currently lvling a Rad defender too although I must say I find it quite easy to get a decent sized team.

What I do is check SG members, global friends, then go to search option if none are remotely in my lvl range.

Although I understand how frustrating it is (trust me, I do), I think you are overreacting a bit. If they are rude, no need to become as rude as them.
Something worse than not having a reply to a polite tell would be get an invitation to a team and 15 seconds later, the person who invited you and a couple of other players say "sorry guys, a mate of mine has offered me a space in another team" and such thing happens, sometimes even without the "sorry guys" bit.

Edit: Sorry to have drifted off-topic Donna, I am usually farming radio mishes in PI with a 50 but I also have toons almost any lvl in both Union and Defiant, send me a tell sometime to team and see what we can do on the fine art of kicking butt

ah yes, cause of course they are gonna invite you to a team if you get as annoying/rude as that.. tbh instead of bothering to respond i'd just hit that /ignore button. Oh and blacklisting someone just cause you spam him and get annoying and he wouldnt let you join your team.. well thats just too stupid for words.

I understand it's annoying when people dont reply. And i admit sometimes i have been one of them, but that is often when im in the heat of battle and just dont have the time to type a reply. Then when i got time it often is too late or whatever. Or when i clearly state i dont want to team (also flag not looking for team) and people still ask to join team. In that case i'd reckon if you're too ignorant to read, im not gonna waste my time replying. It's annoying sometimes, true, but theres no need to get as overreacted like that.

On a more ontopic note, currently im more often playing villains than heroes, but quite often still hop on heroes. Mainly to do TFs etc. I'll keep an eye out next time.

IIRC the flag resets to "Not looking" when you log in, and not many remember to change it. Unless you were referring to your search comment.

Anyhow, I am on 9 nights out of 10 from 6.30pm ish onwards and my global is @Donna

The problem with globals though is that I forget who im talking to >.< i /t a few people in my global friends list and neither of us could remember how we knew each other. lol


I would though, love to hear from anyone about teaming... I remember teaming with you Jackal a couple of times =D always good fun.

Can we make a list of active teamers? people who are happy to receive a /t anytime that we can all check when we loggin first.

Is a different story, if they don't even take the effort to tell me what their archetype and level are or even type out the /tell properly, I have get no real desire to reply much less listen to them during an entire teaming session

I am confused... How can you tell who is quality player and with what standards? Who qualify?

I am not trying to make it harder, but you can't speak about "quality" without explaining what you think as quality. Giving/accepting an invite is just the first step. Staying in the team, having well slotted character that you know how to use and acting in a way that makes team happy instead of thinking only about how you will have fun, are some of them and way more important IMHO than the "invite" itself. By concentrating to "who accepts invite" you're loosing the actual target.

For example, by seeing your sig, I believe I must avoid you, because I don't like people who obey to XP. Do you see now what I mean? (no offense)

Hmm I think I see where you are coming from Saxtus and have a tendency to agree.

If a player has been regularly logging in it seems strange not to have formed even a small circle of contacts (which by associaton usually ends up widening the teaming chances) within a few months of playing the game.

For times when the friends/sg list is quiet I find tuning in to some of the public channels such as badgehunters usually results in some fun.

I mean for those such times... as for quality.
Guess we just have to wait and see who we get cause no one is gonna say,"well actually i'm a [censored] in a team so dont add me"

Currently playing a level 34 Rad/Psi Sophia Fatale, a 32 Spines/Dark Hollow Angel and a 34 Ice/Dev Winter Minx, I am usually either dual accounting or teaming with a couple of SG mates around the same level, send me a tell if you see me online and we can sort something out

Xp rules this game (unless u badge hunt from day one then its a different set of rules)

I left a Tf recently (before they started) becoz they were trying to do it in under 2hrs and avoiding 90% of the Xp ... was i impressed was i heck... To lvl u need Xp the more the better.

yes there will be some players who dont like the xp route but in the end its the only way to lvl (espically when there are hardly ne full teams from 25-45)

so In conclusion Xp Rules and at lvl 50 Influ rules :P

No it is not. Fun rules the game. If you hunt for XP/badges and forget how to have fun with your teammates, you will get bored of the game soon enough. You can use XP/badges as a motivation to do specific things, but that's all.

They correctly skipping as many mobs they can. Remember: In TFs you can't invite more people if some leave. But it seems you don't learn from your past mistakes. You were leading that TF, remember? Unfortunately I was in your team that day...

I would enjoy it more if there were move teams and around and everyone knows the villians content is better than the heroes content (and yes i do play for badges and fun on villians but heroes atm feels like a chore, becoz of the lack of teams

Yes i might have been leading that team, but i had a crash if u care to remember so that issue was outta our hands and no-ones fault. But sometime i do TFs for Xp as they are the quisckest non PL'ing way to lvl. yes u might have been in the team and i think u might have been one of the one to quit. (i say might loosely) and it was a succesful tf when bluey got back. I think we finished with 4 or 5 that night. and yes we did enjoy it (i always enjoy clearing a tf and the tf i left about 14 days ago no-one really wanted to rush they just wanted the badge and this wasnt explained to me), me and another friend (who yes i didnt mentioned wanted the xp rather than the badge). But nvm ... just remember ppl play by different rules u dont like this put up shut up or leave (harsh but true)

I havent start a thread ive commented on the lack of teams between 25-45 in general and this is a truth. All my freinds say this as well so it isnt just me and donna started this thread coz she was struggling for teams. And yes Xp is important to summer for the above reasons from the previous quote.

Yes u have been in a few tfs with me. I run tfs becoz i enjoy them, sometimes they dont work out like if we get someone trying his luck with the team and myself. i aint afriad to use that kick button and nor will i be in the future. 1 thing i can say from this is saxtus u have never given credit where credit was due ( and yes this refers to tfs as well). (i remember after a tf u stormed off for some unknown reason (but we wont go there now)) the case is everyone has a different playing style and we all have to deal with each others flaws and strengths. I get this is just atm im xp grinding (yes its laborious but i have to do it as the lvl 35-45 content is shocking imho) thats the part u dont get. So next time think before u speak or reply becoz i will have an answer ready for u (not a threat just a statement and a truth) end of i believe now back to the topic in the thread ... so lets help donna get where she needs to get and put our personal disputes aside .... but if u wanna continue this keep it off the boards u know where to find me
