I don't realy get how a claw stalker can say it doesn't take skill to pvp with a stalker. Sure you can get lucky, with some defenders or trollers. But with the amazing amount of acc and tohit the heroes currently have, I find stalking the most challenging AT to PvP with atm. Let's say they don't see you coming (this is very rare) and you AS, the following happens; blaster goes in PFF, hits build-up/aim and fires 2 shots at you, they go through any Godmode = dead stalker. Scrapper hits dull pain or pops a green, hits build-up and two shots you in the same fashion. Tank just laughs and tells you to back off, because he's farming. Now tell me, as you come back from hosp, how isn't it a challenge to change your tactics and try to take em down anyway?

Erhm heroes can see you from 10 feet if you got stealth hide stealth io which is makes stalking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easy. Unless you attack and you keep moving you're pretty much unkillable.
Well Psydock I totally agree. Went to mess around in SC today while killing time waiting for my dinner to cook. A whole team of blasters and their defenders were in there killing any stalker that came anywhere near them. At SC level I dont have stealth (not actually specced for pvp, just go there for a laugh) but I do have a stealth IO, only person that couldnt see me was a regen scrapper. Everyone else, could see me a mile off, and everyone on my will team regularly got their [censored] handed to them. Now im no great pvper by any means, actually im pretty bad, but if being a stalker was easy in pvp, then a bunch of nice squishies would have been a walk in the park. This is an odd game in that the stealth class have their whole advantage entirely taken away from them most of the time when it comes to pvp, and the amount of times that you are actually able to AS anyone is pretty rare.
Playing a stalker in pvp is easy? Yeh right.
Playing a stalker in pvp zones is the easiest thing this game can offer. If a whole team can get a kill on a stalker alone, that means the stalker sucks big time

That doesnt mean the stalker can kill their targets. Anybody can be unkillable.
I dont know if your being sarcastic Hammerfall or just missed psys point. Though maybe psy could have been clearer in his sarcasm by adding a nice friendly smiley

Not really well not against a team. And yes stalkers can get kills they can just wait and kill steal. Or just build up energy transfer tf and run like they always do. Stalking is easy you pop in and run like hell. And now thanks to stealth Io's you're pretty much invinsible as long as you're not in melee range with someone. Only thing that might be easier than stalking could be playing an Ice/Em Tanker.

Never have quite understood why you say you hate stalkers so much, and yet are a constant in most stalker threads? Either you hate them cos youve never played one high enough to enjoy them, or you've just been ASd so many times they annoy you, or your just another person who likes to berate and ridicule what they dont understand.

It is because after 50 levels of Claws / Regen, I felt like smashing my computer into tiny, unrecognisable pieces. I just hate them. It is my personal opinion really.
And yes I did roll a Hero and when PvPing VS a Stalker, anything that isn't a Stalker stays and fights, if a Stalker is taken out of Hide OR his / hers AS misses, they run for the hills. Another point that annoys me: they're cowards. And then this brings me back to why I hate my Stalker.
However, the above could just be my personal experience of watching other Stalkers run away with their Claws, Ninja Blades, Spines between their legs.

Seriously after reading what you say regarding stalkers and pvp i doubt it. ASing stalkers is a pretty valid tactic and running away is valid as well since they dont have HP of scrappers and so on. As a blaster i hop around and run a lot times that doesnt make me a coward, but more like someone that knows when to back off and when to attack. If you cant cope with that seriously go pve but please stop posting noobish things that we quote in other pvp forums and laugh at.

Probably because placate is bugged and it won't save you unless your doing a strict 1 vs 1 fight.
