Healing Aggro : Castle response

Healing, per se, does not generate threat. However, the debuff/attack portion of certain heals DO generate threat. So, things like Transfusion can and do, while Healing Aura never does.

I post this since i had a recent discussion with someone that insisted Healing Aura of Empathy set generated aggro.

Altho i am very hard set that IT SHOULD to make Empathy set a bit more challenging this is the current situation.

EDIT: woops forgot the source

IMO, healing should generate aggro, at least from the "smarter" mobs. Although only when the character is visible to mobs, and it shouldn't be as high aggro as damage causes.

Yeah, I agree - it would make Empathy more interesting/challenging to play; just don't make it like WoW... whenever I healed anything with my priest in WoW, it was like every single mob turned round and shouted "get the dude in the dress!"...in a PuG in the Deadmines, healing anything was a death sentence.

It is because of the dress then. No dress, no aggro. :P

Logically aggro from heals is reasonable and good to see in game. But in practice it can draw aggro from other side and hit the teams balance. For getting rid of aggro all teams start to look for tankers and this will be the end of none-tank teams. If poor empath tries to defend himself than he will recieve aggro from his team for not doing his job right.

If the Emapth has to defend himself, the rest of the team will get aggro from him for not doing their job right!
