Lack of arena hasn't dwindled of late in my opinion but has remained the same. As always i am and always are trying to encourage more to PvP and to the Arena with the "PvP Nights" and with my new Tourney "Squished 3 Friend or Foe" unfortunately CoX isn't never going to be the most PvP orientated game.
That's why we need all the pvpers to move to union.
Yus but a lot of pvp tournies are based on the test servers (which is fair so every1 can join i agree), but people like me dont really want to go onto the test server (dont ask why) and would much rather have server based comps and ones where they spread out the level ranges instead of mostly just level 50s, cummon people get a lvl 30 event going! lol
In response to the arenas though, iv got toons on both servers and i agree that arena battles have become a thing of the past. However saying that, iv been in atlas just chilling and doing my thing and people have organised arena battles that way (of course via local chat, since broadcast in atlas is frowned upon), if theres ever an arena battle/server based tournie then i know me and a couple of other people are always up for it.

Why union ? why any not any other server? no one server is better than another thats why the test server is best as it doesn't matter which server you belong to you can meet up fight or what ever. Just because some people are too lazy to set up test server! dont need to swap servers for pvp we already have access to this for FREE! (well part of sub)

Wouldnt exactly say too lazy.. there been a time i didnt go on test server cause i didnt have the disk space for another exact copy of CoH. I think a big problem is ppl don't really wantin to PvP with the so-called pvp elite. What i mean is there is a bit of cliqueforming where only familiar faces fight together. One hand the hardcore pvpers, other hand the casual ones. And I think instead of shouting "psh, just go to test" you should try to break down that barrier. By shouting "just go to test, and shut up if you cant be bothered installing it" you'll keep alienating alot of people, especially the casual ones.
Other thing bout the test server is you need to shut down your game, start test server for 1 or 2 arena matches, shut down test and go back to normal game. I wouldnt call that lazy, i'd call it a hassle. Especially for the casual PvPers who just like a quick PvP bout between their normal PvE activities. Its especially annoying if you (like me on my old comp) have a pretty slow game start-up/shutdown. Sometimes took me 5 mins to get comp responsive again after I shut down the game, even though while ingame i had no lag issues or slowness at all.
Reason i dont really do duels is cause i got no real duel-capable toon on union, and I like to have at least SOME chance when PvPing.

Unfortunately the only place to do team matches is test server but I found it a great place to learn arena. Being able to respec toons into PvP builds is good for casual PvPers as you dont ruin your toon on live & can play around with builds until you find a successful build or one you are confortable playing. Saying that its best if you play a non squishy to start with until you get the feel of arena matches when you can move onto others.

ty thats actually the exact reasons for a lot of us not using test server. Dont know about everyone else on the category of "no test server" but my comp lately has just been far too slow and iv had to uninstal a lot of my programs, i wuldnt wanna risk making my live servers any slower than they already are.
Also hes right about casual pvp between pve 
i know plenty of people who like to "grind" a couple a of pve missions, then chill in atlas to meet some friends/make new friends then head off to do some zone/arena pvps. Its just much easier and far more fun on the live servers imo since everyday iv pvp'd iv seen a new face and a new challenge
Nothing against the test servers pvpers of course, its probs is easier for you and more viable than for me, but it just isnt for me *insert smiley of choice here* not being lazy or "just cant be bothered", i just find the live servers pvp aspect more fun and interesting *insert smiley of choice here to make post more friendly* (nothing against u test server pvpers!!!)

Not saying union I don't mind making defiant the pvp server. It's really lame when you ask for a 3vs3 on arena channel an you never get it. I think those random fight would happen more if we had all the pvpers on one server. Instead of trying to message someone on defiant and say hey wanna have a 3vs3 on teset etc. People are lazy it's not just me.

The reason I like it on Test is that people from all servers can fight at the same place, and for the more casual PvP'ers they can have a PvP build on Test and a PvE or Hybrid build on Live.

And i am using the exact same build i got on live with no changes at all and still i have fun.

Anyone else noticed the lack of Arena PvP on Union? Not sure if the situation is similar on Defiant, but what has happened to Arena PvP?? It's almost impossible to get a duel nowadays, never mind a 2v2 or more. At first I thought it was possibly down to the release of i10 and people doing new content or whatever they do with the Rikti, but now it's starting to annoy me.Anyone got any valid explanations?
