Hey Saphi. I have lots of things to tell u about this build;

a)Acrobatics isn't really necessary, SR's practiced Brawler gives knock protection among others.Do not waste a power slot unless you want the power concept-wise.

b)pros;
-good on the defensive side;It has defense(SR) and can slow(spines)

-good recharge times due to Agile/Hasten combo.

-Elude for the win.

-Lots of powers can gain defense enhancement sets, and defense sets are of the more powerful, especially luck of the gambler and possibly red fortune.

cons;

-No hp boost and no resist before you start losing hp(SR gains resists at that point)

-not really great primary/secondary combo imho as far as synergy is concerned, but it hasn't been explored so...

In general, SR scrappers look like War gods until they get hit.But when they get hit...Ooooh, boy.

Suggestion;take medicine's aid powers so you can heal yourself.They are interruptible, but only when they hit u, and that's not easy.
Also, Tough and especially Weave from the fighting pool will really help u alot.

Wait you can actually fit that in on Spines/SR scrapper!
Would have thought the extra end cost's would make things even worse than they currently are.

You can fit them without major problem providing you get the appropriate +recovery sets.

Both SR and spines are great in pve.. I have a Kat/SR and topping up my defense with Divine Avalanche makes me pretty untouchable even without elude. SR is both fun and stylish.

That said, the early road with SR can be tough, watching your regen buddy hit DP and instant healing then shrug off a truckload of aggro, can be frustrating..

I havent found SR to be that incredible in pvp, and I've never had a high lvl spines but I have seen others do very well. Sadly, anything with Aim+BU is going to make you cry - sometimes even in elude I'm afraid.

That said, it's a hoot watching someone with pve slotting trying to hit you and then squealing that you must be in godmode or popping insp. Good fun watching people try and hold you as well... SR's mezz protection is a clicky and it rocks.

Spines/SR will be quite endurance heavy and so you would need to keep that in mind when slotting and when selecting IO bonuses if you plan to use them.

I'd suggest Aid self.. it really can save your skin. It's very easy to use since you dont get interrupted much with SR.

I wanted hasten for recharge so I was kinda forced to take SS since the build with Kat/SR is VERY tight.

I have SJ as well now, but I didnt take it until the 40's. Acro isnt really necessary and it's an added endurance drain. Dont take it unless it's for concept reasons. Edit: taking hurdle might be nice, since you already have quickness in the SR set.

Spines/SR can make a decent stalker hunter I believe, but you would have to build specifically for that purpose.

Have fun with it.

as others have said /sr is on one hand god mode on the other your splatted.
i wouldnt take acro theres no need with practised brawler running, get in 3 slotted with rech reds and put it on auto fire and it doubles up
i found pvp (well blasphemy wooped me 1 on 1 with his rgn easy pre IOs) hit and miss aswell against brutes you were 50/50 but i had divine avalanche to boost my def.
ive never played spines (2 dam ugly) but a freind played quite happily a spine/sr with no travel power, with quickness 3 slotted and it was sight to see, playing together with my kat/sr he has half the mob dead before i got there

Urg i hate playing with my /SR at low lv's when theres no elude its somtime's one big joke when you see your scrapper get one or two shotted despite having 3 toggles running and loads of inherent bonus's on...

Granted /SR's mez protection is awesome, but i can still very happily hold an /sr with my troller even when he/she's in Elude which sadly lowers my respect for the whole set in general

The one thing that keeps me going with my spines/sr is his ability to just jump into a mob and wipe out the majority if not all of the villains in the mob within one to three hits. Not too sure if i want to take him down the PvP path again unless i can make some sort of uber IO build
