Stamina needed for a Trick Arrow/Archer Defender
Well, I currently don't have it and I'm now lvl 41. Emp arrow prevents your recovery for a little while, and when I don't have a decent sized team, usually around 4 people or less, including myself then I do have end issues and need a few blues to get me by. If it's a 5 man or higher team my end is usually fine but I'm not running any toggles apart from Hover. If you start going for leadership or stealth, or when you finally get your ancillary shield then you might need it. If it turns out I will I can always respec. I am thinking about dropping Poison Arrow and maybe glue arrow and may get stamina. I have swift for the +fly and health already.

I also didn't feel need for stamina on my TA/Psi defender. As you know Psychic Blast one of the most end consuming defender secondaries. Even i deleted my TA/Psi at lvl 20 but never feel lack of endurance even when soloing. But if you go in to toggle heavy pool set, like Leadership you will need it.
Instead of not getting it you can get it late if you feel the need.
For travel power i was using Jump Kick + Super Jump (with piston boots). But i've got it just because i like Jump Kick and it will be good demonstration of my toons athletic prowess.
I'd say drop it in, just not till later. When you start spamming the big attacks like Oil Slick, EMP, Disruption and Rain you can find yourself repeatedly taking chunks out of your blue and you could need it then. If your going to keep the attacks light or buffs end slotted however you can probably happily get by without it.
The pellet with the poisons in the Vessel with the Pessel, the Chalice from the Palace has the brew that is true...
With Inventions put pairs of Thunderstrike IOs into your attacks (Acc/Dam & Acc/Dam/Recharge pairs probably) for a 2% increase in recovery per pair. This will give you a bit of slack with the Staminaless build. You can have up to 5 of the same set bonuses so 5*Thunderstrike pairs is 10% straight away. They're not too expensive in terms of Salvage either as far as I remember.
For AOE Attacks (just roll over a power in the Enhancements screen to see what a power can take) go with Positrons Blast pairs.
If you take the Medicine Pool at all you can pair slot with Miracle IOs, either a pair like Heal & Heal/Recharge, or if you get lucky the +Recovery Unique IO (remember that that IO would work for 2 mins after you trigger the Heal power though so you'd have to remember to trigger it occasionally). The set bonus of 2.5% would always be on though. So with Aid Other and Aid Self slotted thats another 5% recovery, with another 15% for 2 mins if you snag the Unique IO. I'm planning the Unique IO in my Aid Self if I get it, I like the image of zapping myself every few mins before a fight for a boost, like slapping on a Stimpac or something.
After playing my Trick Archer for 39 levels I have never had any major stamina problems. Although you may find yourself running out every once in while (usually after you use an EMP arrow) I never found it enough of an issue to require stamina. Heck more often than not I have my tray filled up with blue inspirations and just pass them off to teammates.
In short, you more than likely won't need it.
Playing my TA/A Defender at the moment (after leaving him aside for a year).
I'm currently level 11 and so never in any stamina issues (and give all my blues away to team members).
So I wonder, do I need Stamina from the Fitness pool in later levels?
Another question, what would be a good travel power for him?
