I would put
Frozen Electrum and Imaginary's blaster down as the best in my list altho not seen many mentioned here.Also i have heard really good words about Gatling.
I heard that Captain Zapp just had to look at Frozen Electrum and Captain Freon and their heads imploded....truly a scary guy!

How come Evo.II, who repeatedly beats some of the players on this list at getting kills on Monday nights, as well as (edit: winning) Blaster FFAs, isn't on this list? And from what I've seen he duels pretty damn well too.

Thing about blasting is that you're so reliant on the support you get its hard to compare. Gatling is the only one that stands out for me as the stuff he can do with those sets is insane.
Personally I think I play my corruptor better than my blaster

I'm very wary of threads like this, as in my experience they nearly always end up turning nasty and/or violating the 'no calling out players by name' rules.
I will leave this open for now, but if it spawns a whole sequence of 'who's the best X' or turns nasty, I'm afraid I'll have to lock it.

1. Gatling, as said before a lot of how good a blaster is depends on the team. Gatling very very rarely dies and can still own without support.

This fits in oddly with a "discussion" I was having with some people the other day. They felt the only real PvP was 1v1, no support toons. I tried to explain the concept of team PvP, and the fact that there's a talent to teaming and coordinating with others well.
In part, that's why making a list like this is pretty much impossible - the five best at duels probably aren't the same five who are best in a team setting. Plenty of people who are great in the zones and not so great in arena, and vice versa.
That said, I tend to rate Frozen Electrum very highly - but I'm going on team situations, as I don't really keep up with how well people duel.
So who do you think are the 5 best blasters and why?

Bitter Ice (No one scares me as much as him silly fast and keeps going till you're dead)

Frozen Electrum (Scary dude and very fast, scares the [censored] out of me when i play empath)

Gatling (Rocks at dueling with his toon, very good teamer simply rocks at playing elec even though it can be a bit limiting IMOP)

Pyroz/Jarred
(Fast blaster good target caller and gets the kills)
5
Thrusty
(Fast blaster, he throws out a good dish)
