Base Questions

I have just started building my base which is on an 8x8 plot. I have some questions which I may already know the answer too, but need clarification rather han anything else.

1. I have a basic teleport bay, 1x2 plot. I have placed a teleporter on here, but it only allows me to place 1 beacon (I have atleast 6 to choose from at the moment). I have plenty of control and power, but still can only place 1 beacon. How can I get round this?

2. I can only currently have 1 power terminal. Can I add more to this plot...or do I need to upgrade the plot or build more?

3. Is it possible to have 4/8 teleport locations in an 8x8 plot? If so, does each teleport bay need to be 2x2 minimum?

These questions are only in theory at moment, as I don't have enough prestige to place 4 teleporters yet, anyway!

I think my limitations are due to plot size. Unless the beacons that are placed into each teleporter have to be linked in some way?

I assume you mean the basic 1x2 teleport room that's part of the "starter's kit"?
If so, the teleporter itself allows for 2 beacons.
The room how ever limits you to 1 teleporter and 1 auxilary (like a beacon)

The smallest plot allows for only 1 power generator, and iirc onlt 1 control generator (the main units, not counting auxilaries, nor the starter's combo unit)

the 2x2 rooms allow for 2 teleport pads and 4 beacons each.
In my basic plot base I have 4 such rooms, which means 8 pads and 16 locations.
At least I will once I actually place the teleport pads.

With the teleporters, you are limited by the rooms, control and power more then the plot.

My base has the normal energy generator, the control generator with the 4 auxilairies to provide the needs.

I also have a medical bay and a workshop. All the 2x2 rooms.

[/ QUOTE ]That would explain why I can't put 2 beacons in that room. Didn't realise there was an auxillary Limit on them on a 1x2 room. When I have more prestige, will change to a 2x2 room.

Is it possible to add a 2x2 room, move the teleporters to it, then delete old rooms? as this would save me having to remake them!

Hehehe I was stuck with the exact same problem went on an exploration hunt and got a lot of the beacons already but limited to just the one Saving up for a bigger teleporter room to have 4 beacons active. Will need to add another "general" room for it though I have a great plan for it, but prestige is a little short at the moment

The plot size does limit little bit, but even basic 8x8 plot, You can do a lot. I have at the moment in my small base three 2x2 teleport rooms and there is 5 teleportpad with 10 beacons. I know I could have 4 teleport room, but I'm not sure that I can create enough power and controll for them with basic 8x8 plot, because wanna have medical and workshop room too.

I'm also thinking to upgrade my plot, but that cost so much that I'm not sure if I can do it in this year.
