Since I7, debuffs (like CE) don't interrupt AS. Only powers with damage (e.g. Hot Feet) or movement effects (like Hurricane's repel) do.

Errr I could swear that something that the Ice tanker does, interrupts AS very efficiently without dropping me out of hide..I know cause ive been in Sirens trying to AS ice tankers... I remember the change but I guess we need to experiment so that nothing is bugged or anything..

Icicles perhaps?

Wouldnt icicle damage drop me out of hide?

I guess it should. All I know is CE doesn't interrupt AS anymore. Tried and tested with my /ice blaster.

Yeah, I tested with arch and you are right, CE doesnt interrupt AS. Must have been icicles then.

Very important Daniel San.
A Paragon Defender
Sorry for not being very clear in my explanations, so here goes.
My advice was based on both team pvp and solo pvp in zones.
First off resilience.
Nope, I don't take this for the dam res ( which is always nice ), but i take it purely for the amount of EM based toons in pvp. Without it you will get sunned. A. Lot.
Next tactics.
OK, first of all, leadership is taken for two reasons.
1) Perception. First off, you dont get FA till 41. Therefore the only pvp zone you can use it in is RV. Having tactics in sirens is great. At worst, it allows you to see the AS's earlier, giving you time to get away or DP up.
Secondly, the perception stacks with FA and that is plain great. I have faced many a 'good' stalker in RV, and most say the same thing in broadcast," how can you see me? are you running FA AND Tact...[interrupted by BU+HS connecting]
2) The slight taunt and placate resist.
Really, when you can see stalkers, you effectively become a stalker killer, as they dont fare well toe to toe vs scrappers, even eluded ( where you just back away for a short period )
Stamina AND QR should both be three slotted with end mods.
Why? Because that is what gives regen an advantage. Never being concerned over end is always nice on an AT that relies on clicky heals.
Taunt is ace. Learn to love it. Ok for arguments sake take PvE. Now, its not a tankers taunt for sure, but every little helps, and when not teamed with a tank, it may just save a suishies life.
As zone pvp, with your +per, you can taunt a stalker you see lining up an AS on a fellow hero. The AS may still go off, but the follow up killing move will now be inturrupted, and you can rest assured, when said stalker goes to follow up and cant, and they see 'taunted', you can rest assured someone somewhere is swearing at you!
As for team pvp, or arena pvp, taunt is a must. End of. Dont ask why, as im running out of time, it just is.
This might not be the real reason to take taunt in Arena PvP, but from what i've seen Tanks taunt to stop the enemy from carrying out their role. For example: The enemy will be chasing your team's defender around stopping them from doing their role of buffing etc. The tank taunts to get their attention and helps take them out or just keeps them occupied while the scrappers and blasters chase the enemy defender. Tanks usually taunt each other to stop each other from stopping other players from carrying out their role. So a tank with taunt resistance and lots of taunts will be better than a tank with no resistance.
* Being a Tanker is no reason not to bring BFs to a fight.

Find out who your are going to fight and adjust which insp you have in your tray. BFs and Respites are the most useful. Take Blues if your fighting a Kinetic or Thermal. Reds should be taken by Blasters and Scrappers. Oranges are better than purples imho.

Exactly only time this happens is when you are under placate effect.. in which case you should be jumping to safety cause AS is on its way.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is fine if he hasn't already started the attack. If he has, then no amount of running jumping, flying, teleporting, or dropping through a hole into Hell is going to stop it landing. You have to make them move, or hit them, and I don't have those other powers you mentioned.

The thing is, when you are placated, a big red "PLACATED" sign shows up. Placate animation is long, about 2 seconds, which gives you enough time to jump out of melee range and avoid the instant AS if you just react fast enough.
Sometimes placate also bugs out and allows you to target the stalker again using your mouse, but Id try targeting from safe distance..
