I'd tend to agree. You need something that can debuff the AV into a slivver of its former self.
My kat/regen has so far been wasted by Lord Recluse (twice, he hates me personally), and Mako and GhostWidow (together, I thought ganging up was a bit much). Oh, and he gets wasted while standing in a pillbox, and being defended by a Heavy.
The AVs in that Zone are a pain. I mean, people complain about the Heavies, but they ain't nothing compared to having Lord Recluse come along and help.

Ive seen a Mercs/trap mm with a heavy take on both manticore and back alley brawler at the same time. He tells me his secret was loading the heavy with insperations, sadly you cant do this with any other archtypes.
I've seen several toons solo them, mainly Rads, Kins and Thermals
With the amount of temp powers and pets that you can get that swing so much in your favour i dont even think an AR/DEV doing it would impress the hell out of me. What would impress me is doing it on a union server. Your likely to of got almost there and some stalker comes along and pops ya. There is no level of unkindness that wont be stooped to. Id be like "wow no one stalked you now that is impressive". Not tarnishing everyone with the same brush but you only have to ask one person if they'd do that to someone and get yes in reply, reasoning its a pvp zone, many people dont ask if you wanna pvp they just take an opportunity. Probably a very fun experience for those willing to try and still a great thing to succeed. You just gotta hope for or have the nicer people to be around.

Its a PvP zone, the stalker or whatever is within their rights to come and attack you. Yes it would be annoying if you got the AV to a sliver of health and you got AS, but then those are the risks. When you enter a PvP zone thats when you agree to PvP. Not after you've sent a tell to someone and asked politely if you can attack them. For a start they might not be accepting enemy tells.

Heh reminds me of last night where i thought just for a laugh ill try and solo an AV on my mind/ empath troller, altough i wasnt making much progress damage wise, i wasnt getting killed either. That is till 2 corrupters showed up and tried to kill me, which resulted in me being slaughterd by mako since i was pinned to the floor and couldnt jump away.
After mako kills me i read on broadcast "sorry didnt know you where fighting mako" well i wasnt i was fighting Ghost widow and with her flashy powers it was a bit hard to miss that. Although i wasnt too fussed since another hero came along and finished them both off only to be done in by Ghost widow and mako. we all ended up having a good laugh about it since well it was funny that we all ended up floored.

after looking through the various posts, i noticed that one person had managed to defeat an AV, is this a rare thing or can the AV's be taken down with a lvl 50 & a heavy?
