Regular Trapper Team

Looking forward to tomorrow night!

We'll be taking things easy, lower the difficulty and finish off Lunata's arc. Also I have the Plague Carrier badge mission available which is always excellent XP on a large team. Hopefully we'll get a Mayhem too, who knows?

Hey guys, thanks for the advice but I have decided to ditch napalm and go with a mastermind. I'm not having much fun with napalm poet and I already have a high level ar/dark corrupter.

I've tended to stall when levelling masterminds in the past so I think a regular team will help.

Plus I'll be more able to solo a MM than a fire/ corrupter if I miss a week or two to catch up.

So, napalm poet is dead, long live Commissar Jaeger merc/traps MM!

Sorry to hear that Moondog At the end of the day though, it's all about what you have fun with.

Mercs hmm? Should fit well with the Assault Rifles, Thugs and Sonics already in our group... what a noisy bunch we are!

Ancient Ninja Art of Misdirection, surely? If all the attention of the opposition is directed over there -> because of all the noise and disruption, then you come in from over here <-

Or am I overthinking things?

A good night last night. We reached level 14-15 and finished off Lunata's story arc, then moved into Cap Au Diable for paper missions. Sooo close to FFGs now...

Unfortunately because it's Easter, I won't be able to make it next week. No matter, I'll catch up to whatever level you reach in time for our next session together.

Remember to grab Dr Shelley Percy for your first CaD contact, as she's the one that leads to Marshall Brass, who we need for the Goldbricker Rocket temp power. Also I fully expect to come back to a team full of FFGs Have fun!

Having Grant Invis put on me and then the feeling of using my new sniper power really made Tuesday a killer evening

The sheer weight of mortars and caltrops is a joy to watch and I can't wait to see what the poison trap en masse will do

Never mind Acid Mortars, see what happens when you're sat with 80%+ defence to everything due to 8 FFG's around you.

And don't use Poison Traps en masse. Stagger them, so you get overlapping effects, 'cos the duration on the hold/debuff isn't huge, but with 8 of them, you could have a permanent -1000%regen debuff on whatever is the target of your ire, and if it's a humanoid, then it has a good chance of spending a fair while losing its lunch

Ok. My Italian vacation is over. I'm here for these from here on out...and even better, I've already got my FFG and am working on getting my poison trap. Who's running this show this monday and where do we meet?

PS: 8 FFG is going to be intense.

Echo wont be on but said the team finished off in cap for paper missions. I'll park my trapper at the PO ferry in cap then and give a shout over the traps channel when monday comes.

Meet you there at 7.

By the way, when do we start doing PVP and Strike Forces together?

Our first SF attempt will be at level 18.

I hadn't thought about PvP. We'll definitely make the requisite trip to Bloody Bay for Shivan pets at some point, so we could have a go at the heroes while we're there I guess.

Would be really interesting to see how a few trappers do in pvp, solo is real tricky.

So what did I miss?

What level are you guys at now?

It was splendid, though the Bank missions didn't go so well (while I was there). The worst moment had to be having 30 seconds on the clock and creating the perfect trap for the hero...who was apparently on a lunch break and didn't want to come down the elevator. Still, I did get to see the unholy doom that a horde of caltrops combined with Acid Mortars brings to the game.
Sorry bout the disconnect guys. It was one of those "dear God why now?" moments that always happens when I've got a great theme team going on about me.

Well, the first couple of missions, mayhems, went rather badly. We kept being attacked by Longbow with a silly number of bosses in each wave (one group had 3 wardens and one commander).

I think when push comes to shove corridors and confined spaces seem to be a trapper's friend.

Was lots of fun though and I think at least 4-5 of us have got to 16, so next week we should have some real force field fun.

It might be good if everyone could be ready next week with Marshall Brass as their contact so we can do the his missions (including the jet pack one) in one go?

Definetly a good idea to work through Brass's missions.
By the end of last night the 3 of us left went into bloody bay to try some pvp action but all the heroes ran away from us . We did get the patrol done though to give us some nice combat stealth .
See you all next week.

I poked around in BB today with my traps MM and got told that "traps are [censored]. lol" by an otherwise friendly lvl 29 scrapper. Was funny to see him eat his words 10 minutes later when he admitted "I got owned". :O)

Nice to hear it MarquandDance

It should be very amusing to see what they make of a whole team of trappers in BB...

Rightio, I'll try and get to lvl 16 and unlock Brass for next week.

If you all have caltrops, then I have one thing to say.

Knives. Of. Artemis.

If you all have FFG, then you're all effectively SR scrappers when in 8 bubbles, and effectively un-mezzable.

If you all have Poison trap, then nothing can get near you without losing its lunch and being held.

And of course, my favourite power from the set. 8 Web grenades means that nothing is going to be running away from you, ever.

Of course, all the above rely on optimal situations, where you've got 8 of each, all overlapping/stacking.

But 8 Trappers does have a lot of potential for teleganking

Well on trying to catch up to you guys, I've found Mea Culpa is not very good at soloing at level 15!

In the end I respecced slightly - dropped Triage Beacon for now (going to pick it up again post-SO) and took Beanbag instead - opened up Marshall Brass and left the catching up until tomorrow night.

I'm really looking forward to teaming tomorrow! We'll all meet round the Arbiter by the Port Oakes ferry in CaD for a 7pm start. See you then.
