Regular Trapper Team

A modest turnout this week, but we got stuff done. We took advantage of the fact that all attendees were 35+ to go do RWZ missions because everyone's so, so sick of Wailers...

Still, we're nearing the precipice of lvl 40 and new contact bliss (even if it is in GV) and I can't wait!

Posted

Yeah it was a welcome change to get into RWZ and see just how well we could do with smaller numbers. Did well and was the most fun I've had on the Traps team for quite a while.

Posted

Well I shall be on for the Trapeprs team tonight, and I hope you will be too!

Sorry for the late notice, as usual. Probably best to assume that it's happening unless I mention well in advance to the contrary.

Didnt get back on till 11ish :O(
Just managed a wee play in SC before bedtime.

Monday was a fun evening, we had even a new Trapper join us which was cool.

Also, finished off Hardcase's missions (no more Wailers yaaaay!!) which means it's probably paper missions next week and until one of us hits lvl 40 and we can emigrate. Which should be 1-2 weeks at most, so not bad at all really!

You didn't like Wailers?

Ookayyy... Relatively squishy magic salvage dropping beasties. What's not to like? Apart from the AV (who I named Bob, for reasons that should be partially obvious), and the resistance debuffs (which shouldn't be affecting you anyway, if you're stood in stacked FFG's, since they won't be hitting 95% of the time)

Or am I just weird?

Besides, if you've not done Johnny Sonata yet, there're more wailers in your future :P

Nope Johnny's done and dusted, Hardcase was the final contact in the 35-40 range we had to do.

Of course Wailers aren't that deadly, but they're deadly boring after nearly 10 levels of them...

Yes it is happening!! I had no net this morning but things seem to be fine for now... I only just got back from work but I'm logging in immediately! See you there!

Mmmmmm the march towards having some endurance gets closer for Grizzled

Good fun last night

Posted

Yeah, that was a grand night.

Things should pick up a bit now too, with some lovely 40+ content to keep things interesting.

Posted

Got home late, sorry! Am logging in now. Hope you've not given up on me!

After spending last weekend setting up my new PC parts, exactly what I feared happened and I'm going to be without a PC for the immediate future, maybe for as long as it takes for my delayed gfx card to arrive at the start of March.

What this means is that I'll not be able to make it to Trapper and Dom nights, from immediate notice. We're looking at making a temporary PC out of spare parts but that will take a bit of time so I'm definitely MIA tonight folks, sorry.

Hope you enjoy your crazy trapping - oh, keep an eye out for Sorcha too!

And let me know if anything doublefun happens tonight!

That blows to hear that news Foot

Look forward to your return asap!

Well another fun night of the Trapper team Early deaths from location of some Patron missions of mine in the land of +6 but we got there in the end.

Noddy upto level 40 and our first Patron power goes to ... Grizzled Veteran, who takes Powersink!

Good job everyone and see you next week.

Grats G!

So, is Power Sink worth it for the AR/Trapper on-the-go?

Well one level 40 end mod and about 3 foes+ is rather nice It may even require fewer slots for the team play than I originally had in mind, so thats a nice surprise.

Glad to hear it! I may have to go with Scirocco myself in that case...

Unfortunately I'll not be able to make it again tonight, though I'm hoping to have things sorted out in time for next week... here's hoping in any case!

Enjoy your trapping guys.

TNT had their first run-in with Malta last night. All I can say is... pffft. They're no big deal. Seeker drones and poison traps, one of our already well established tactics, works very well to distract sappers on first attack.

Hope you get back soon Echo.

Don't know if you lot have seen this yet.

US theme teams seem to go about things in a somewhat different way to what I've seen of similar things over here. (read the thread from the beginning)

Seen that a wee while ago, although I haven't read it all from the beginning (read the 1st post though).

Anywho, I'm full of the flu today so I'll try and be around for a while but it depends how better or worse I get

The US team is a little more strict with the power choices than ours... but like I said at the start of this team, who actually needs to be told to take FFG?

I'm out of action for tonight too. Hoping things will have calmed down on my front by next week. I'm missing this game!

Commi and Grizzled both reach the 42 mark, Phipps and Noddy meanwhile are now 41 and both sporting snazzy Web Envelopes

Gah I'm the runt of the litter now!

Grats guys.

Good news everyone!!

I have a working PC again. It's not my super new upgraded PC (not yet anyway), but it's no worse than my old one. I look forward to enjoying stupidly long loading times with you all tomorrow night!

See you at 7pm.
