Yes, but even if it looks cool, I wouldn't advise on making a post teaching how to use any kind of bug. Anyway, it's no big deal and it will probably be fixed soon

yeah, had this one happen to me, but the screenie I got with wings & the shotgun sure does look good! 
Now if only they'd let us actually use that shotgun on some chars...

You can get a shotgun as a temp power when doing safeguard missions. its one of the sidemissions called 'break up the weapons deal' when doing Talos island safeguard (30-35) for instance. I have it on at least 2 toons.

Is this bug btw somehow recent? I have team recently with my mates warshade, and when he goes nova he looks like he retains human form, floats around petrified in standing position tilting downward when appropriate and shoots umbral bolts from his forehead.. I didnt notice this before..

I'm not sure if its recent, I havn't had a shapeshift power long and it just seems to do it on its own!

It's been like that since Issue 8, so don't hold your breath.
Far more irritating is the bug where you change back to human form, form powers are marked as active (but won't work) and human form powers are unavailable. More of a problem for warshades, given that it normally happens halfway in to a double mire ... I've stopped playing my WS until that is fixed. So from a players perspective quite a big deal...
Of course, given how few people play kheldians, I don't expect it to get fixed quickly.

Certainly not recent - its been around since I7 went live but been a lot more common since I8 - happens with any alternate form after typically about 10 minutes in that form - nova, dwarf even granite suffer from it. Various other graphics bugs around afflicting Khelds as well. They don't affect your powers but may confuse your teammates when they think you're in human form but aren't. Most that team with Khelds regularly are used to it happening by now though.
You should /bug anything you come across - although if you bugged this every time it happened you wouldn't have time to play. In practice something like this won't always be bugged when it happens but I have done so on a couple of occasions and others have as well. Maybe if a lot of players keep reporting it its priority will rise

thats been happening for as long as i can remember... was definately happening when i was still lvling my WS, and he got to 50 seven months or something ago...

Really? The only way I've been able to execute them is by typing them directly into the chat window, and that has been purely since I8 hit.

I recently got my first proper kheldian into the level 10 range and decided to make some bind buttons to switch to nova form and change my tray arrangements etc
happily using them away and sometimes i find that I shapeshift BACK to human form, but still have the bright form powers active and availiable!!!
not only that, but if i use the blast that seeks multiple targets ( I forget the name ) my human form whips out a shotgun to fire it from!
it only does it sometimes though, i have screenied it on my main como though!
known bug?
