Why did you make a Stalker?
I made a stalker because it was an outlet for the lack of ninjitsu style powersets for scrappers and was bored by all the other powersets. Surprised cryptic never pick up on the fact that two ats that only have 4 powersets.. it might not be the best idea to have an overlap.. easier to get bored..

Highly recommended
In general it's all down to what you are used to. I know people who level stalkers fast but cant level a dom for toffee, yet I level dom's quicker than any other AT's.

And now they get YTs at 17 two!!! OR YOs as somecall them.. Even tho there are called Yin tailsman.....
I rolled a stalker to be the villain version of Tsumiju Zero. Whereas as a hero he fights his opponents head on, up front fair and square, in his more villanous moments, his previous violent tendancies favors impaling people on his sword from the darnkess.
It's all about character lol

Have 3 stalkers Claws/SR - lvl 40, Spines/SR lvl 34 and DM/Regen lvl 23.
I love the sneakiness of them and as mentioned before the whole seat of the pants style of playing. The are actually my favourite AT. You do need to understand that STALKERS ARE NOT SCRAPPERS. They require a different mindset, and different tactics.
plain and simple reason for me
VERY easy to lvl VERY fast in PvE to 50 via paper missions, going to end, gank boss/room/glowie rinse.repeat.
only reason to own one imo :P

Also best AT to get Nukes in Warburg
I've just recently started one - got addicted to the idea of striking from the shadows again.
So far, I'm loving it - it is completly different from playing a scrapper and, now that I've just got placate, I'm loving the sheer gumption of the whole set. Drop one, fight the next, wave hand in final opponents face, before dropping them again.
Haven't felt this evil since shooting someone in the back of the head with a gun during Issue 7 test.

That perfectly describes the stalker mindset
BTW It gets better as you get higher.. stalkers are late bloomers
BTW.. If you are having trouble levelling find a friendly Dom.. they love the damage you love the hold/crits. A perfect symbiotic relationship.
Its freaken scare how fast a team of stalkers can do a mission man!
Blasters have always had the sheer levelling power to 20, helped by Defiance.
Stalkers though can survive things Blasters can't; and Mr. Stalker doesn't get mezzed to heck as soon as the Ink Men appear.
Play a Stalker like a Blapper, not a Blaster and it's very fast.
In paper missions stalkers can also run past anything that looks too hard.
I made my Stalker because I wanted an IC enemy for Fist, plus I know Martial Arts inside out and Ninjitsu looked interesting. Also, scrapping is king
Unfortunately he's been stuck at 45 for ages because soloing is completely futile (AS, Hide and Placate are all unreliable at high levels for various reasons and Defender hit-points aren't enough for low-damage scrapping) and teams aren't easy to come by unless we have a concerted VG effort.
The bit on the official CoV site that says that Stalkers are the ultimate solo AT for villains is about as wrong as it gets.
That said, me and Tuft have duoed our Stalkers in big teams since about level 15 and together they have been absolutely devastating, but solo or just duoed without a team it's marginal to say the least.
[Edit] You can play on Villainous but it's stultifyingly boring with no risk or worthwhile reward.
I don't see why teams hate stalkers. I guess its still from the days of launch when the "gank puppies" and "PLers" all took them. Its only recently I notice that other types of players take it and newer forms of stalkers exist. "Stapper",as i call it is a weird and fun way to play.
Just replying on the end, not to you specifically.
I'm not saying you can't level Stalkers, I specifically said that I can level my Blaster faster than my Stalker. I have no doubt that I am not the best player in the world, but that applies equally to the blaster (I haven't played a blaster beyond about level 5 prior to this).
I don't have DOs slotted yet on the Stalker. Perhaps she's just underpowered for her level (16). I don't like buying DOs until I hit 17. That could be a bad choice in this case.
However, I still think the Blaster levels faster than the Stalker, because the Blaster didn't get DOs until 17 either.
Meh, just my opinion anyway.
