Howdy folks, im still fairly new to the C.O.H life even though im addicted but i have a problem. im in a super group but when i go to enter the base portal it says i cant as i havent registered city of villains under the same account, does this mean i cant get into my super base? that sucks but im sure i got it wrong so

Bases are a CoV feature, if you wish to enter them as a hero you'll need to have CoV as well.

In order to access Supergroup bases, you require to own both City Of Heroes and City Of Villains or have bought the combined GvE pack which has both of them, or just have bought COV on its own.

If you only own City Of Heroes, then you cannot create or enter a SG Base.

Hope this doesn't dampen your enthusiasm.

Welcome to the game and the forums.

To be more precise, you need to have your NCsoft account containing City of Heroes upgraded with City of Villains code. There is a possibility for a screw up and having COH and COV addded to the account as separate games so pay attention to the procedure if you need to do it.

Summary: you need to have either COV or City of heroes Good vs. Evil edition to have access to supergroup bases. Mere COH doesnt give access.

Russjustice, i dont believe anyones mentioned this yet: while you do need to purchase CoV to get base features in CoH your actual monthly subscription would remain the same. ie as long as you already own one of the games you will pay no additional subscription when you purchase the second.

By purchasing CoV and upgrading your CoH account you would then get access to bases, 4 more character slots and all of the villain content (5 new AT's and 8ish? zones)

Current price of CoV on play.com is £6.99 or £11.99 for the GvE pack.

Instead, if you go for the GvE pack, you'll gain some more costume options and 2 nifty powers for each character.
Jump pack = vertical movement and/or travel power booster
Pocket D teleporter = nice way to get around the 3 or 4 zones they are linked to

Which is a bonus to some, a 'who cares' to others
